Hah hah, notice there's very little on the frost tree front. Blizzard really has no clue what to do with this class. Whatever happened to all this "AoE" business talk? Yeah, they forgot about that too. Blizzard wants this class to suck.

What I'm wondering is, why does Blizz have this conviction that mages WANT to be the kings/queens of AoE? To me, AoE is an amusing distraction during a raid (with the exception of MH). Blizz, really, I don't like being right next to an abomination doing tick damage to me while I am casting AE and hoping the healers don't forget me. I want range dps please.

A number of people have said it already, but Living Dud needs to be a target cast. Then it would be worth it. The phoenix idea could work with this as well, and the graphic opportunities just make me drool.

I guess I'm going arcane for WoTLK...if I get it at all.
