Blizzard confirms Beta invites to opt-ins on their way

Blizzard poster Belfaire has confirmed over at the forums that the first wave of Beta keys for subscribers who have opted in have been sent out. If you opted in, you might want to check your inbox for a Beta key as Blizzard has said that the invites are random. If you're one of the lucky few, you just might be roaming the new (but not necessarily improved -- we hear there are lots of bugs, and not the Silithus kind) build of the Beta. If you didn't get a Beta key, fret not as Belfaire also mentioned succeeding waves but did not give an ETA. You can check out WoW Insider's extensive beta coverage while you wait.

I don't want to play the beta to avoid ruining that new car feel when I actually buy it... Wait!? What's that in my inbox, I'm in? Ummm, yeah not playing /drool - error error must not ruin... Boom!

Just for the record, I did not actually get invite. I was just using a little satire to show how people can be hypocrites with their, "I don't want to ruin the game before it's out". Then they dive right in as soon as they luck into an invite. Good luck to everyone waiting.

well try my luck... I have a BLIZZCON key and I STILL haven't gotten my invite :(

Guess that goes to show you should just ebay everything :/

You guys do know that this was only for the EU right? Belfair is a EU CM. As far as I know the US Opt-ins still haven't been sent out.

I'm just hoping I get into the Beta. It's kinda annoying really, I registered my Beta Club card (yes I got the WoW Laptop, let the flaming begin...in my defense I got it cheap cause Boeing get a 45% discount on Dells), and I wasn't on the first wave BUT I'm patient I'll wait my turn like everyone else. Just hope I dont get screwed LOL

Am I the ONLY one who wants to still play WoW? Or should we just change the name of this site to Wrathinsider????

I get it, everyone is excited about the new expantion, but have you all abandoned previous content? Can we please have an article or two thrown in that isn't about Wrath???

There are still old content and people playing wow today that DOES NOT want to read only about lich king! Come on guys!!! Its so annoying, even "around azeroth" is printscreens of folks playing beta and yadda yadda... jesus. Get some other content out there!
