Around Azeroth: Death to the Warchief
There are few sights more chilling than finding the throne room in Thrallmar empty... or worse, with the remains of what might be the mighty Thrall. Since Around Azeroth mistress Elizabeth Wachowski's computer is misbehaving today, I pulled this screenshot from my own coffers, taken after a massive Alliance raid on Orgrimmar that left plenty dead -- most notably the Horde's own Warchief. Now, will Achievements like Death to the Warchief! result in more scenes like this around Azeroth? Wait until Wrath and see...

Ah i remember the old days, when raids on faction leaders were quite common for both horde and alliance. I think having achievements to kill them are awesome because its just something right now that like the old Taruen mill pvp, never happens.

All TM ever was was a bunch of higher level players camping lowbies. Which, was great if you weren't the lowbie..
I often find that the only people who love Old TM days were the ones doing the ganking. Odd isn't it? How thats seemingly always the case.

Tarren Mill. >.<
Not Tauren. It was called Tarren Mill when humans occupied it.

I'm not even on a PvP server but we still get small weekly raids on the capitals. Seems about once a month they will kill one of the leaders. Of course, Alliance has 3:1 ratio on the server so maybe it's easy for them to do those raids.

Don't forget about the Horde having two bosses in the same room in every city other then Thunderbluff.

Killing Thrall (or any other Horde leader) is a LOT easier when there is a virtually unguarded back door in every single Horde city. But notice there is nothing of the kind for Alliance.

Man, that's just wrong. Maybe I'm too much of a lore fan, but I'm Alliance and I would never even think of killing Thrall. I'd find it dishonorable.

I love this article. Its a beautiful sight to see a horde leader taking down. I know wowinsider has been posting past articles abotu downing alliance leaders. Bunch of horde lovers. More pics of thralls dead carcass FTW.

Maybe the Alliance on my server is just lazy, but about 8 months ago raids pretty much stopped dead. Before then maybe once every 2 or 3 months some Alliance would come through the UC or Org back door, kill some NPCs... and leave. I was always curious to see how the boss fights would go and would sit & wait to see if they would actually make an attempt... but they never really moved close to either the UC or Org throne rooms.
