It's hard for many people to see the difference in roleplaying within an MMO as opposed to DnD or Neverwinter Nights where you can make yourself a more integral part of the world. I'll admit when I first started roleplaying ever (which was in WoW), it took me a little bit to grasp the idea that I shouldn't try to inject myself right next to the power-players in the lore and instead come up with my own adventures and ideas.
