Breakfast Topic: Doncha hate it when...
...you're doing a collection quest and you don't understand why the widgets aren't dropping -- until you realize you're grinding in the wrong area? And doncha hate it when you're just a few pulls away from finishing an instance when your main tank says, "Sorry guys, I've got to go, I didn't realize it was so late"?
And doncha hate it when you finally grab that last pig's spleen, turn around to head back to the quest hub -- and walk right into an elite who sends you back for a corpse run?
And doncha hate it when you go to turn in a quest after leaving an instance run... and then realize you left the quest item back on the last boss' corpse?
I mean doncha? What else do you hate in game?

"..you're doing a collection quest and you don't understand why the widgets aren't dropping -- until you realize you're grinding in the wrong area?"
... or that you forgot to pick up the quest in the first place

+100 points! i've done that so many times while leveling one of my many alts
Gordal Aug 5th 2008 9:52AM
Oh yeah, did that once with "Discovering Your Roots". Spent a good twenty minutes just trying to get one of those glands to drop before dimly realising that I'd forgotten to pick up the quest.

Or that the reason they aren't dropping is because you're still in that raid from the night before.

Finishing the daily heroic only to find out I didn't actually take the quest.

When that horde shammy grabbed the very last netherwing egg I needed to hit exalted. Which I was standing on top off trying kill the mobs as fast as I could. I don't blame him though, that's just the way blizz made it work.

people who say "let them cap 5" in AB when it's only 150 to 200. it's called a BATTLEGROUND for a reason.
Gryphon Hall Aug 5th 2008 8:54AM
As much as I hate it when:
• obsess on capping farm, leaving LM, GM and ST undefended, then calling everyone noobs
• obsess on rushing RH without any GY captured, then suddenly accuse Alliance/Horde of sucking when they find they die far away from reinforcements and rez at Dun Baldar, then BEG everyone to just let the other side win
• obsessing over the flag in mid-field in EotS, leaving MT and DR undefended
• forming a raid to defend/invade Halaa, some new level 70's insist that no level 69 and below should be invited as they will "just get slaughtered", that only level 70's should seek invitation, and those level 69 and below who insist on invites are noobs (even if most Halaa PvP rewards are targetted for mid-60's)

Oh I hate that. I don't do much AB anymore, but I often play WSG. It frustrates me when the opposing team will cap the first flag a few minutes in and my entire side simply folds with the old "Let them win!"
I can understand when it's a grueling back-and-forth for twenty minutes without a single cap yet, okay you want to go grind your marks, fine. Or when we're getting steamrolled by a premade, fine. But in a normal, fair fight where they simply got the first cap?

Realizing that you only have two minutes to run (mounted) from the Bulwark back to UC before the Server shuts down...
And then not making it even to the entrance of the courtyard....
dpoyesac Aug 5th 2008 9:50AM
Worse is when you THINK you make it...
...and then, when you log in, find yourself still outside, or still in a danger zone chuck full of mobs. You'd think the server would TELL the client it was shutting down since it has a countdown and everything

On a similiar note, don't you hate it when a quest item does not drop after grinding the area for a while. Then you realize that you are still in the raid group from last night.

My personal worst is when doing dailies and I dont realize I took a raid invite. Its a real pain when you finish a bombing run on Quel Danas and realize that you didnt get credit since your in a raid group
Selly Aug 5th 2008 8:12AM
Doncha hate it when you've been questing while waiting for a raid to get put together when all of a sudden your quest bugs out. Ten minutes later, you realise you're in a raid group and thats why your quest is buggy.

I hate going to Tarren Mill at any time of day on a PvP server. There are Alliance gankers that work in shifts there to make sure no Horde get out of town. I just grind my characters in Southern Barrens for a few levels instead of wasting time in Hillsbrad.
I hate it when you are trying to have a conversation in general or trade and someone has to turn it into the Internet Tough Guy Competition.
I hate how scary Night Elves inverse crotches are. Thankfully there are tabards. I also hate that tuxedos are skin-tight. I hate that leveling armor makes you like like Robin the boy wonder. Why can't all armor pieces have the color changer from the arena banners?
Yossarian Aug 5th 2008 3:07PM
I hate it when people have conversations in the Trade channel. I hate it when people don't know how to use the /w and "r" button when chatting.

Doncha wish your girlfriend was hot like me?

No I do not '"CHARLIE"
