Well, is this some sort of revenge for all those "hunter Wep" comments you see on every database site?

The reason the Bow was awarded to Analogkid was due to both of the Hunter's in the raid being new to the guild. Albiet a "hunter" weapon or not, Analogkid has been with the guild since the very first Karazhan kill. Is it a Hunter weapon.... maybe. But that is our 7th Kil'Jaeden kill and will not be the last. We have 5+ months left to farm this pixelated boss for more Oranges.
Gratz Analogkid.

Sadal,
First, if you really do not care about your raid's DPS, that's your choice. Second, if you think you have 5 months, you will be shocked, cause you have 4 or less months, and I suspect closer to 2. If I was in your guild, which I wouldn't be, as a hunter I would quit, because you clearly have no sense of class priority in loot distribution.

WAH WAH WAH ALL THE LOOT SHOULD GO TO ME BECAUSE I'M A HUNTER!
As a rogue, and the loot master for our guild, I've had to make several painful decisions when giving other rogues gear that I could have used but had to help bring up the gear of someone who was newish, and wasn't that good at their DPS. But I'm not a loot whore. I just want new content. And even with their new tunic, they still suck. So we know it isn't the gear that makes the player.
Stop whining about "class priority" when steadfast-loyalty is far more important. Obviously their DPS is fine if they have Kil'Jaeden on farm.

There's Loyalty and then there's Stupidity.
Sure, your rogue is Loyal, he shows up, tells good jokes in quiet times and DPS's his heart out in a fight, he's great...
But your GUILD and your RAID would be better served by upgrading the Base Ranged DPS of your Ranged DPS classses.
Maybe you've got the world on Farm now, and you can choose what upgrades your raid groups need or don't, because you're so great you don't care, but here's the facts, you gimped your guild by handing that item to a class that won't get the use out of it. Your raids could have had just that much more DPS, your kills could have gone just that much faster, your hunters could have been just that much better, but you decided that the people who needed the gear didn't deserve it.
You're the kind of guild that won't let new recruits roll on gear, aren't you? "Show up for 3 months to every weekly raid and you start earning DKP"?
Or maybe you've planned out, already, which members will get Tier 7 first. Before even seeing Naxx2.0 they've "earned it already because they were here for Gruuls"
Stupid decision is stupid, stupid raid leaders are stupider, and failure of this magnitude makes me sick.

Sadal,
I guess the Warglaives weren't reward enough for loyalty? Nah. Those are common vendor trash...you need your rogue outfitted with something he can really use. A bow.
This is why I quit raiding before BC even started. The drama inherent in loot distribution, and the sheer, unmitigated stupidity of some guild leaders.

I must be lucky, put I'm pretty sure that i my guild, no rogue would even accept that loot (let alone, ask for it) with a hunter needing it in the raid.

I don't know the individuals involved but to possibly defend the raid leaders choice...
Sure giving the bow to a rogue is a bit ridiculous when hunters are in the group, but it will help the raid's DPS a bit. If given to an unreliable hunter, it would not help the raid's DPS at all.
That said... they are new, so you don't know, they could be very reliable just haven't had the time. Just depends on your policy towards new people. I would've given to one of the hunters personally.

Blame Blizzard for not marking the most obvious hunter upgrade in the game as "Class: Hunter", despite locking hunters out of the Warglaives for no good reason.

If the hunters are new to the guild, I guess this makes a little more sense. Obviously, it hurts the guild's DPS but maybe you don't like your hunters anyway and expect to find new ones.

MAYBE?! Christ, you're following Donald's Guide to Raiding aren't you? "If the text isn't red it belongs on your head"
I'm a rogue and there is no damn way I'd roll on that, the stats are crap compared to other available items, and tell me, what does a rogue need with increased ranged attack speed and unlimited ammo? I don't care what your progression is, ya sound like a bunch of tools.

@Pudds - For no good reason? How about the set bonus of "Your MELEE attacks have a chance to increase your haste rating by 450 for 10sec" same idea as a rogue not needing the bow b/c there's no use in having increased RANGED attack speed. Blizz should have locked this to hunters w/o a doubt. Maybe they just figured when someone saw the Ranged Speed and Ammo bonus, that noone would be ignorant enuf to roll against a hunter on it. Oh well...

The *real* bonehead here is the rogue who said, "Yeah, sure I'll take it!" - not the GM's. What a selfish human and a terrible decision on the rogue's part. The stand-up thing to do would be to realize that a weapon like that would help the guild as a whole in a hunters hands. Instead he opted to turn it into some piece of ornamental epeen-age to stand around in Org with. Shame on you, rogue. You are pathetic.

The real problem with not giving the bow to the hunters is that it solves some of the biggest issues a hunter has and would probably be used by the hunter until another legendary bow or gun becomes available because it doesn't use ammo. So no bag slot filled with an ammo pouch, huge cost savings in not having to buy ammunition. a rogue doesn't have those problems as they usually only have 1 or 2 stacks of ammo on them. I understand the logic used in the decision but wholeheartedly disagree with it, as anyone who raids should.

Does it truly matter if their DPS suffers at this point? I mean, they just downed Kil'jaeden. Just my two cents. :P

What a retarded decision, there is no way the guild would have gotten to the sunwell with this sort of loot policy so basically what we see here is the guild leader changing the loot policy on the fly to favour a friend.
He's also sent out a clear message, if your not one of the inner members of his little clique then you'll get second choice for drops.
And as for his pathetic argument "we'll be going in there 50+ times so we'll get it lots more times", well why not hand it to the rogue then - duh....
This is one reason I don't want to be part of a hard core raiding guild, its not just the time you need to put into it but you also need to be disciplined, inevitably it ends up with a closed circle of friends and dumb decisions happen, like this one.

Dude. It's a hunter weapon.
I guess it's not enough for rogues that they're PvP gods as well as #1 DPS in PvE. Now they have to take the only legendary loot for another class. A hunter will do more with a bow than a friggin' rogue. The GM just wanted to loot-whore for his rogue pal to get him even more orange text in his character sheet (he already has two glaives).

Hey, if rogues and warriors can equip the star's fury for the stats, why shouldn't a hunter equip a warglaive for the stats? After all, the ranged attack speed bonus is no more useful for a rogue than melee haste is for a hunter.
I'm not saying I'd encourage a hunter to take the warglaives (assuming they could), I'm just saying it makes as much sense as a rogue taking the Star's Fury.
