Gee thanks Zach! The thought of a hero class is cool and all and nobody is looking forward to the expansion more than me, but honestly I was going to take a pass on the whole DK thing. All of my toons are healers and ranged DPS and the only thing that sucks more than melee to me are my tanking abilities. That said, I knew from day one that a DK was not for me so I've read only very little about them. I figured getting 6 70s to 80 and exploring Northrend and learning all new dungeons and raids and doing dailies and leveling professions and getting achievements now would be MORE than enough to keep me entertained until the next hero class is announced (arch druid or something perhaps?). But now ... now you've probably ruined it! I feel pretty confident that I could have ignored death knights (I've never played a warrior either), but lore that "punches you in the face and knocks you off your feet" and "quests so well-designed as to make one feel truly into the story" and that playing one was an "immensely fulfilling experience" well ... how the hell am I supposed to blow that off? I'd have to be an idiot, right?*eyeroll*That's great.Super.Now I have to level my 70s, learn new raids and dungeons, level my professions, mess with my achievements... and PLAY WITH MY DEATH KNIGHT. (Seriously, very nice article. :D)

Even if you don't plan to take it to 80, roll one and do the starter zone... you won't regret it.
