Things to comment on/ask:1: Ask for Ghost wolf indoors. If it is going to be made into our snare break (PVP necessity) then not being able to use it indoors pretty much ruins it.2: LB damage lowered substantially while other casters had no such change. Sorry, but giving us access to debuffs is not an excuse to nerf our damage. Shouldn't they be increasing our damage as much as other casters, not giving us stuff they've had forever while giving us less damage than them?3: Where are the other merged totems? We saw 2 total.SoE+GoA and Windwall+stonskin (armor works for both)Healing stream+mana spring, Disease + poison cleansing, and resist totems all make sense being joined up. Testing:Drop WF and pop BL check attack speed.Pop BL, check attack speed. I'm thinking they don't stack since neither is a self-haste buff.Find someone with lava burst. Put Flame Shock on the mob, does their LaB eat your FS? This is a major concern as several shaman I know have said they'll just eat my FS as soon as they can along with my SS charges. I would very much like some of my own stuff for my use and the FS,LaB, ED combo is huge, if they are eating my stuff, I am losing a lot of DPS. Rogue poisons will be eating enough of my stuff.

Howso? Most all classes do not have a way to break out of pvp(w/o trinket) with the exceptions of what, mages and druids? And yours(and apparently others) logic on lavaburst doesnt make sense, locks dont consume other locks immolation(afaik) I dont forsee that as a problem.

On the multiple Lava Burst/Fire Shock issue, I think Angus is looking at it more like when Elemental shamans use up stormstrike debuffs. But that is a debuff, not a buff casted by yourself. So I think clarification is needed.

There are enhancement shamans annoyed about the elemental shamans stealing their stormstrikes? Say it ain't so!While YOU might lose damage from an elemental shaman's lightning bolts eating your stormstrikes before your earthshocks do, the RAID's damage is better for it. The elemental shaman's lightning bolts will be hitting for more damage than your earthshocks in the first place, and by my calculations, more*more = even more! That might not be meaningful if you're from the meter-watching dps-is-a-measure-of-penis-size school of play, but from a raid leader's perspective I see stormstruck earthshocks as a reduction to my raid's overall damage output. If not for the big boost from elemental devastation, I'd be expecting enhancement shamans to keep flameshocks up for the higher-spellpowered elementals to crit off instead of burning them themselves. But hey, 9% melee crit chance to give you buckets of damage and probably charge up an instant-cast lava burst to start the cycle again. It's chunky and 9% crit will give a lot of damage. If lava burst does end up being able to eat other shamans' flame shocks, I may end up asking my enhancement shamans to flameshock every cooldown so that the elementals can also get critty lava bursts without having to interrupt their casting to shock. There are two reasons for this.1: it means there are no stormstrike charges getting wasted on earthshocks when they could be boosting lightning bolts. Rogue poisons will continue to be an issue, of course, but my guild's kinda short on rogues so it's not something I currently have to deal with much.2: in BC, at least, the elemental shamans I raid with get less damage from flame shocks than from the three quarters of a lightning bolt cast they could've done in the same time. An enhancement shaman doesn't interrupt their regular damage to cast shocks, so the only damage they'd lose is the quite small difference between a flameshock that only ticks for half its duration and an earthshock that gets to hit for full. Maybe the reduced coefficient on lightning bolts doubled with the extra Storm, Earth and Fire will mean that flame shock's worth more than three quarters of a lightning bolt and then the elemental shamans will be better off casting their own. We'll have to see once we're 80 and I'm herding people through raids again.

What I'd like to see done, as the current state of totems are, is have the new WF and WoA merged. They're both haste now, just have melee haste increased by 20% and spell haste by 10%, or wonder to yourself why they didn't combine melee and spell haste like they did with hit.

@teaspoon:I don't mind elemental shaman getting my SS charges. I plan for it and usually make sure it will happen. The post originally had a comment about rogues using up my charges with envenoms when they were bored. My biggest issue is being a buff machine and having my personal DPS start to really suffer for it. I can handle making everyone else better around me. However if there is a situation breaking a cycle that allows my DPS to be comparable to pure DPS classes, it needs to stop. The problem with FS being used every CD is that of timing. LaB, 8 sec CD. FS, 6 Sec CD. So unless that elemental shaman is timing stuff with the shaman, he's going to clip a FS right at the beginning of an application quite a bit. That is a lot more damage lost than even the difference between a half duration FS and ES. This is my worry. My shocks doing jack damage because they aren't allowed to run their duration for damage.

As a raiding enhancement shaman all I want to know about the new talents is the mechanics of the flame shock/lava burst combination.I've seen many comments like Teaspoon's about how we should be constantly flameshocking and allowing the ele shaman to use the dot for their lava bursts. This concerns me because of how the enhancement tree is being rebuilt around melee/spell casting synergy. Having to keep casting flameshock for someone else to use, I'm directly losing 10% of my overall dps (the combined earthshock and full run of the flameshock dot), plus the loss of 9% melee crit, procs of shamanistic focus, procs of Maelstrom Weapon, and (depending on how talent points are spent) the loss of procs of elemental focus. I'm all about buffing my raid (stormstrike charges for the ele's and WF for the rogues...) but I don't want my whole talent build shot in order to give the ele's a bit more damage.
