Zandalari on Moon Guard hosting a Story Circle tonight
Here's another player-run RP event that looks like a lot of fun -- the Zandalari, a 'tribe' (read: guild) on the Moon Guard server apparently hosts a weekly "story circle," in which they sit around and tell stories of all kinds. As usual, I remain not so into RP, but I am very much into storytelling and fun player-run events, and this evening sounds like a good time, especially if you just sit and listen (or read, as the case may be).If you'd like to go, it'll be at the Grom'gol base camp in Stranglethorn (so it's Horde only, but you can roll an alt and fly from Orgrimmar) over on Moon Guard this evening (and every Thursday) at 8pm server. And I'm sure I don't have to say this, but if you do go, be sure to be respectful, or they'll definitely whip out the ignore stick on you, or worse -- it's an RP server, so no monkey business.
And be sure to take lots of pics and send them to us if you like -- we always love hearing about creative player-run events on the servers.

Couldn't have said it better myself. He "remains not so into RP", so why is this getting posted?
Grats on most posts this month, Schramm. How many of those were mined from wow_ladies?

The author needs to find some original thought and stop ripping things off from other communities, IMO...

Mike, looks like you managed to pull a couple packs from the wow_ladies instance.

The idea behind WoW Insider isn't to necessarily come up with original thoughts and ideas but to pull together all the stories that impact our World of Warcraft into one area that people can read from. I for one do not read WoW_Ladies forums...it's not my cup of tea. As I do have two Horde characters on Moon Guard and have in fact come into contact once with one of their story circles in the Tauren start zone, I appreciate WoW Insider posting this article.
Or is Moon Guard Horde to stuck up to allow those who play on the server a peek into some of the best RP there?

I invite people to roll on Moon Guard all the time in roleplay communities and among friends, and I also give people a heads-up when I hear about events like the story circle.
However, anyone who's ever played on an RP server for longer than a week is more than likely sick of griefers, hence some of the vehemence of the responses, I imagine.

The point here is that the OP on the WoW Ladies post is in the guild organizing the event--reason enough to at least link to the original post, don't you think?

I have 6 characters Horde-side on MG and I have never met any griefers or the like ... I guess I am just lucky =)

Have all you ladies ever given the thought that maybe someone from the server tipped Mike off in hopes of getting the event promoted? This isn't the first time that an event has been publicised in this manner.
Might want to think about that before you drag out the righteous anger.
Aislinana Aug 7th 2008 4:55PM
Someone might have tipped him off to this, you know. For publicity. *gasp*

If you checked the links in his Post...
He did link the original post. Probably someone tipped him off.

Uh oh, Mike aggroed some lady adds!
JDM Aug 7th 2008 8:00PM
I always wondered what they were doing over there when I'd run by town while questing on my alt!

The above posters are correct. There's a reason why WOW Insider has a tip line.
