With little resistance and low HP, it'll quickly evaporate in an encounter with AE splash damage (Locks and Hunters avoid this problem with their Area Effect damage reduction passives on their pets). And considering the way it seems they're pushing the classes (Handing out AE heals and other ways to maintain your HP), we're likely to see AE splash damage encounters more frequently in WOTLK.
