Breakfast Topic: Where do you plan to get Wrath?

I was in San Francisco a week or so before The Burning Crusade made its way to the shelves (blast you and your moving ship dates, Blizzard!), but fortunately made arrangements to get a Collector's Edition before I had to head back home. I'm more prepared now, banking on a few channels to get a couple of Collector's Editions of Wrath of the Lich King when it comes out later this year. With the game right now shaping up to be one of Blizzard's best ever, I'm curious as to where people plan to get their copy. Have you pre-ordered? Is there a store chain near you? Maybe you, like me, are geographically challenged and will have to (ab)use contacts abroad? What's your Wrath of the Lich King release date battle plan?

I am getting it at Walmart, open 24 hours so i can pick it up at Midnight on release day!!!
I'll be playing it before Bestbuy even opens

I intend to buy a copy of the Collector's Edition at *probably* GameStop. I don't know if Wal*Mart will have CE's so....
Haven't pre-ordered yet, but I am going to fix that in the next week or so.

I go to school in a small town, and the only place that sells games is Wal'mart.
Good side of that being that is that wal-mart is open 24 hours (as said above), so i'll miss the Northrend Rush, and that my chances of getting one is much higher.
If that doesn't work out, i'll be driving 45 min to WV to the nearest gamestop to get one.

im from victoria australia ... EB games has a preorder thing hopefully we get it the same time as the US or my plans of siting outside the local EB games is going to be bad

Pre-ordered mine from Game Stop, they will be open especially for the release, when the cashier told me that I told him, "I don't care, I like WoW but I love sleep"

I have pre-ordered one copy, but since I just invited myself in the 'recruit-a-friend' drive, I am going to have to get two. I will probably pre-order at a local store for the other, since my family has a history of standing in line (for first nights of movies, for games, you name it).

I plan to get a collectors Edition from Harvey Norman here in Western Australia. If not, I'll just get a normal one. :)

I got my BC copy the day before release from an independent shop (Shocking, I know. They do that with most games).
I didn't get the CE until much later when it suddenly reappeared on Amazon - it was pretty much nowhere to be seen at launch. :/

I'll probably just pre-order mine from Amazon.co.uk like I did with BC. I can't be arsed to camp overnight for something I can get delivered to me.

I'm over here in Ireland, so looks like I will be pre-ordering from one of the many overexpensive gameshops. Or maybe Amazon.

For TBC, my boyfriend simply went to Circuit City or CompUSA (one of those big box stores) on the day of release and picked up a collector's edition for me and a normal copy for him (he didn't really care about the whelpling). There are so many stores around here, we were confident we'd find CEs, and we did.
I'm not what I'll do this year. I order things from Amazon on a regular basis, but they don't always get pre-ordered items out to you on the day of release. I might do it anyway, just to be guaranteed I'll get a copy. I wish Blizz would hurry up and officially announce the collector's edition, so I could pre-order it.

Just like with the BC release the GF and I will probably pre-order but go to Wal-Mart at midnight and pick up a couple copies anyways. Then return the delivered copies. Figure that way I'm covered either way ;)

Exactly what me and my roommates did. We each pre-ordered, then waited at Wal-Mart and snagged CEs instead. The crazy thing is, a lot of people there had pre-orders, but wanted to get a CE, which most places weren't allowing Pre-orders for, due to the limited # they were getting.

I didn't know Gamestop was letting people pre-order the CE yet. My intention was to prepay for it as soon as I knew I'd be guaranteed a copy, even if it was as much as a week late.
Make sure you don't pre-order in store at Best Buy (their website works, though; that's where I got my Burning Crusade CEs)! They don't hold CEs for you in the store, and chances are the employees will just buy them all or misdirect you to customer service.

I'm from London England and Got my Burning Crusade Collectors Audition at Midnight at HMV on Oxford Street in central London.
I got my copy Signed by the top dog at the Blizzard HQ in France "Ben Bassat", Everyone dressed up just under a 100,000 people were there ready to buy a copy.
TV Crews were there it was epic.! Got tons of free stuff like models and stuff for dressing up. We spent the entire day camping at a pub across the road which turned out to by a gay bar hot spot. Mish Mish It was an Awesome Experience.!
I'll be looking out for something similar happening for WotLK, and camp outside the shop till midnight Grab it have a party with my fellow WOW community before rushing home installing it and being the first druid too lvl 80 on my realm and getting the achievment for it

I'm a new(ish) player, bought WoW and BC off GAME's website about 6 months ago.
I'll be hunting for a central London release party, so I can get drunk and throw up on some belfs.

Best Buy or Walmart like I did for the first 2. Gamestop is very unrelyable from my experiance, even if you pre order they only get so many shipped but they take as many pre orders as they can. Chains like Best Buy and Walmart just bluk order stacks and stacks so it's not an issue.

I will have to abuse some contacts, cause im from VENEZUELA. and hell we dont have those "Walmarts". so i will be abusing a contact maybe from US or CHILE. to get my WRATH Copy.
