New Jewelcrafting patterns in the latest Wrath beta push
The latest beta push introduced a lot of tradeskill recipes, including Jewelcrafting. Elizabeth took some time to check out what new gems we might be seeing in Wrath, pending they survive the horrors of beta testing. The effects on the gems you find on the trainers aren't incredibly mind blowing, but the raw stats they supply is pretty impressive. Of course, this is all scaled up for level 80, so we'll probably be finding quite a bit of the crafted gear impressive as we find more of it. If you want to see what the trainers have to offer so far, check out the gallery down below.

Yup, JCing will still pwn face.
Can we please see some Engineering info (I'm not directing this at WoW Insider or anyone, I know it's not in beta yet which is the problem)? I'm really hoping it becomes fun and, dare I say, usefull in Wrath? Even if they stop giving all the awesome stuff to people who buy cards off Ebay it'd be a step in the right direction.

Stats, stats, stats. God, other professions are boring.
I hope Blizzard gets to the Engineering schematics, soon.

I dont want to sound negative here, but dont hold your breath for anything cool in engineering.
Last time blizz didnt do anything special and it seems these time will be the same.
You might get some new googles, a new mount and maybe maybe a nice pet.
But I doubt you are getting anything special like in the original wow.

I'm really looking forward to seeing some news on non-gem Jewelcrafting items. I'm sure we all assumed that they would be adding new, more powerful gems, but I really want to see the new trinkets, necklaces, and rings. And hopefully they'll add a new healing stone statue (they didn't have one for lvl. 70).
And I REALLY hope we'll finally see some new JC-craftable fist weapons.

Shouldn't the meta gems be showing their requirements, or are those gone?
If it's the latter, we will be able to really optimize gems this time around.
