A well played rogue is OP, not the class itself. And PVE gear is OP in PVP, whats new? From tier1 to tier6, a rogue in PVE gear will dominate in PVP, but not vice versa.

Most PvE gear is not OP in PvP.Rogues are a special case due to Cheat Death. They can run around in ultra-high-damage environments with much less resilience than other classes and survive thanks to Cheat Death. That talent allows Sub Rogues to wear Tier 6 gear and 'Glaives without fear of being bursted, because they *can't* be bursted down like other classes would be with that little resilience.Nerfed it most definitely has been, but even now there are few teams who can deal with a geared Druid healer spamming heals through Cheat Death.

/agree with Warmhorse--gear makes a difference, yes, but the skill of the player is far more important, especially on a class like the rogue, which doesn't rely on lucky RNG windfury/macestun procs. Cheat Death -has- been nerfed, T6 or no. My rogue partner has solo smashed through cheat death on every rogue we've run into that kept it--and he's in full arena gear, no "op" pve raid epics. And the fact that we've run into a number of half T6 rogues, a few with warglaives, in our bracket (1600-1700, not that high at all) says something about how far gear alone can take you.
