@Zali:OK, fair enough that you thought the Area 52 Goblins were fine - I just thought the pacing was bad i.e. as soon as you enter what you know to be one of the TBC endzones, you see Star Trek attired Gobins...And yeah, I didn't like the 'Starship Trooper Gnomes in Blade's Edge, either!WoW is a fantastic game, it's just that the jokes and references to other pop-culture sci-fi/fantasy got a bit out of hand with TBC - I started to wonder if Blizzard actually had many original creative thoughts knocking around anymore...Skettis = Skeksi's from Jim Henson's 'The Dark Crystal' (i.e. they didn't really even change the name much)The Naaru - the 'unified' creatures at the end of the same movie aboveTempest Keep/Exodar - 'The Citadel' from 'Krull' (not to mention Illidan's weapons which are a direct lift of 'The Glaive' the iconic weapon in this movie.Etc. etc. - Blizzard are over-dosing on early 80's fantasy!

"not to mention Illidan's weapons which are a direct lift of 'The Glaive' the iconic weapon in this movie."Wasn't the Glaive in Krull basically a switchblade-slash-shuriken rather than a pair of hand weapons?

I'm glad I am not the only one who noticed the Skeksis! That was my first thought on seeing the model. I still love the race just for only that reason :)
