if it follows warcraft 3 mechanics, Mirror Image (which was a blademaster spell) would summon copies that do no damage, but serve only as a confusion and distraction technique.

That is similar to how the DnD spell works. It is essentially a defensive spell where the opponent wastes their time killing the wrong version of you.

The thing is that such a version as you specify would be completely useless in raiding. My personal view of mirror image would be a less powerful version of that chick from the Nexus - also that when it casts, you get swapped with one of the images randomly so that the opponent doesn't know which is you.

I'm not really torn up about a raid-useless spell. Raiding in general is pretty boring (push 2, watch target die. Occasionally push 3), its the boss fights that really define what a raid will be like
