I agree, we do need to be solely damge based but a fix to blink would be nice, also i would like to have some sort of creature that would be there solely to do my will (whether it be anything from a buff to doing my skinning for me). I also like the sound of fixing blink and allowing us to teleport to more places. I reckon at 80 we should get a spell that allows us to select a place on the map (as long as we've already been there) and be able to telport to that.

Apart from that, yeah, mages should be only a dps class.
