Breakfast Topic: What tabard do you wear?
So I have to admit, one of the most annoying parts of Beta testing my Death Knight is that I don't have access to any decent tabards. It's annoying, and I feel almost naked without one, but I don't have the time to grind exalted with any factions.
Thinking about that got me thinking about my tabard choices for my other characters. Of course, in Wrath, tabards are going to get all mixed up a bit, what with that new championing system, but I'll probably keep my favorite tabards on hand for swapping in when I'm not grinding faction. Actually, I may just tend toward my guild's tabard in Northrend, since our guild's backstory is intertwined with Northrend itself. Besides, I like to show a little guild pride when I can, and it's been a while since I wore a guild tabard on any of my alliance 70s.
Currently, my Druid wears the Cenarion Expedition tabard. Not only does the green and brown go well with his leather, but it's the closest there is to a Cenarion Circle tabard. For my Dwarf Hunter, it's an Argent Dawn tabard, since she's an especially zealous enemy of the Scourge. For my Warlock, the Scryer's Tabard, because he admires the Blood Elf race and (what he sees as) their dedication to knowledge at any price.
So why do your characters wear the tabard they wear? Do you plan to do any tabard swapping for Wrath of the Lich King?

Hordie PvP tabards look SOO much better than Alliance ones.
SSC seems the most vibrant currently, and hence what my shammy wears. I compared it with the Scryer's one at a point and ick. SSC >> Scryer tabard...

Does it matter? I've got a Shadowpriest, so I'm purple all over anyway.

LOL @ 18 that was a great answer!
my paladin wears the warsong battle tabard because everyone in my guild swears the horde is pridisposed to losing warsong, which is far from the case in my battlegroup
my rogue wears the SSO one just because it looks better with his gear

My Warlock is sporting the Scryer Tabbard, while my Hunter alt is Kickin the Alliance Private Tabbard.

I rarely wear one, except on guild runs as it is then a requirement. My main is a female Gnome Mage, and I think they look awful on that body-type. Those toons are so short and leave so little actual area to display the tabard, and then the bustline breaks up the image so that you have no idea what you are looking at anyway. So on her, eh.

My Hunter wears the Mag'har on both live and the beta, my Priest wears the Heroic tabard from the opening of the portal in the beta, looks better than that empty guild tabard

I'm wearing the KoT tabard on my lock, since it matches my gear.
My pala wears the SSO tabard.
I always try to fit in a tabard that matches the gear I wear :D

My Tankadin wears a nice yellow Honour Hold Tabbard, cause its yellow like my t6 kk?
deviationer Aug 18th 2008 9:08AM
I don't wear a tabard, they are overrated.
Milktub Aug 18th 2008 9:09AM
My warrior does the Summer Flames tabard, since his armor and other gear tends toward the deep reds and blacks. My rogues wears the Scryer Tabard, because I think it's one of the best looking in the game.
Mareena Aug 18th 2008 9:10AM
I always wear my guild tabard on all my chars. I just really like our guild tabard and haven't really felt like trying another one, though I do own a few others.
Raaena Aug 18th 2008 9:13AM
Hunter - SSO tabard (since I *really* do need to make a guild tabard) ATM...
Paladin - Blood Knight tabard, because it's hot
Warlock - None--clothies with the "tucked" tabard just look dumb, and I like most of the designs on the cloth caster gear, so I try to leave it exposed (now my hunter's chestpiece is absolutely hideous...not T5 so it doesn't match the rest of the gear, and it's got one of those little tissue "ghosts" on it that you used to make with Tootsie Roll pops when you were a kid for Halloween...so...yea...I try to hide the "ghost"...)
On the rest of my alts, it will depend based on gear looks...my mage/priest won't be wearing them since they are clothies...but the rogue/druid might...but I like them as they are right now :)
Simon Aug 18th 2008 9:16AM
I don't usually wear any tabard, because it covers up attractive armour.
If I have very unattractive armour, or armour that doesn't match, I'll usually pick one that is colour-coordinated :-)
Charles Aug 18th 2008 9:17AM
SSO, goes well with the leather gear I'm wearing on my Enhance Shaman. lulz.

My guild has a policy of letting whoever gets the
killing blow from the combat log change the
guild tabard. Alot of times, someone will choose
to change it to the sissyest design combo
available. (think pink with hearts) So, in
my case, a suitable tabard is a MUST to
keep.
Currently using Tabard of the Protector.
