I'm curious, though.... Players cannot have the same names are NPC's I thought. Does this mean they'll have to rename their character come WotLK? That would pretty much suck.

I think the policy is that characters aren't allowed to share names with famous lore characters, not NPCs - I inadvertently named my warrior after the mining trainer in Thrallmar and, wanting a free name change, got my friend to report me to a GM with no luck. xD
