DC Unlimited unveils Series 4 Action Figures
Mike Schramm showed us the first hint of DC Unlimited's Series 4 WoW figures back during ComicCon, but now the DC Direct website gives us a view of the new statues.
The first female "deluxe" collector's figure is being released as part of the new series: Lady Vashj. "Deluxe" mostly means that she's bigger -- she's being hailed as standing as tall as Illidan's sculpt. But, yeah. She looks cool.
Your lineup for Series 4 inclues:
- Succubus Demon: Amberlash • 8.5"
- Tuskarr: Tavru Akua • 7"
- Gnoll Warlord: Gangris Riverpaw • 7.75"
- Murloc 2-pack: Fish-eye and Gibbergill • 6.5"
Uh huh. It's got a Murloc 2-pack. I suspect that's going to become my premier Christmas gift for friends and foes alike. The Tuskarr also looks pretty cool, and confirms this Series lives in the world of Wrath.
You've still got a little while to wait on these new figures, though. The advance solicits advertise that they won't go on sale until April 2009. That's about eight months out. So maybe they'll be the premiere Christmas gift next time around.

Whatever happened to the awesome tauran hunter?
Dinosoar Aug 19th 2008 2:56PM
I'm pretty sure he'll be the delux figure for series three.
Azbaty Aug 19th 2008 2:19PM
If there's going to be a Hunter it has to be a Female NE with Humar.

Wow, it's nice to see them creating some figures from non-playable races. The murlocs seemed a no-brainer, but I'm very surprised that they've created a Tuskarr figure already. That's really cool.

Why isn't it hogger?!
ninjasuperspy Aug 19th 2008 2:35PM
Wait, that isn't Hogger? No deal.

No kidding! They missed a big opportunity here!

i don't know how to contact someone on this site other than just leaving a comment here, but blizz has just released more updated info on the ticket lottery for blizzcon 2008, and it looks like you can get in the lottery if you DID NOT PURCHASE TICKETS last week, that is awesome, even if i now don't think i can go, still gonna try though, especially if i win a spot in the lottery...

Is it just me, or does the succubus look terrible in quality compared to all the other ones?
Snuzzle Aug 19th 2008 4:14PM
I was thinking the same thing. Especially her face. Ugh.
Evi Aug 20th 2008 10:43AM
It's not just you.

So still no tauren figure. The tuskarr is pretty neat though.

The tauren figure is the deluxe figure for Series 3, I got to see him at Comic Con. He's HUGE. Not sure why they didnt post pics of him here....
Here's the pic I got of him at ComicCon, sorry so blurry....

IMO, this wave seems rather disappointing. I'm still waiting for the core race/class combos to be released (gnome mage, human paladin, *any* hunter), but instead we get npcs. I'm sure some people appreciate a different theme but none of these figures have that "Cool! I want that one!" feeling. Instead we get the meeeh SSC boss, a npc not even in the actual game yet, and a Hogger wannabe (You couldn't even name it Hogger?).
Hould Aug 19th 2008 7:45PM
Female BE Mage please...
Wolftech Aug 20th 2008 1:26AM
WTF? STILL no Gnome Mage?
FAIL

Great looking paint work on these action figures. I am a WOW player and fan and an avid action figure collector. My GI Joes grows monthly.
