Arena Junkies looks at some Gladiator statistics

You have to be real careful about how you put together statistics. As Gregg Easterbrook said, "Torture numbers, and they'll confess to anything." So, grain of salt, people. That being said, Arena Junkies has put up a pretty interesting compilation of numbers. They took a look at their (fairly substantial) membership, and figured out the approximate class makeup of each Arena season's Gladiators.
The results aren't exactly a surprise, which supports the analysis's validity. Warlocks -- once the Arena juggernaut to the sounds of much QQ -- have lost 8% of their dominance in the Gladiator ranks. By comparison, Rogues have picked up 6.5%. Druids are the big winners, though. Only 7.5% of Season 1's gladiators were druids, compared to 16% of Season 3's. And yeah.
There's a lot of metagame interpretation that could be done regarding these numbers. Melee have slowly risen in power over the span of three seasons, and Paladins -- once the bubbling unstoppable -- have really dropped in performance. Druids used to be unremarkable, but now the "science" of Line-of-Sight and Mobility has taken the day.
Arena Junkies promise to further update their analysis when the Hall of Fame is updated for Season 3. But I agree with Tyveris: I think the current sample is indicative, and we're not going to see any huge differences between these numbers and those.

what's that? hunters are the least? that's right. I EAT frickin hunters with 150 res. and I'm resto spec'd.

You didn't met then a good hunter, a resto Druid with 150resi for me a simply a good joke, fear AIM shot bybye. Hunters are simply > all classes, this is the only class who can defeat each others in a correct 1vs1, these stats does not reflect the power of Hunters, this is just about Arenas which are closed combats and not at our advantage.

Where are you finding these hunters that you are supposedly killing? the 1300 bracket? In an opposing faction's starting area? please I'd like to know.

What's sad is that you know that 90% of those druids are resto or dreamstate resto, and maybe 9.9% are balance. I've only seen a feral druid twice in 2v2 1600+.

Yeah... last in PvP and 2nd to last (overall average) in PvE DPS.
I salve my hurt Hunter-ego with our Sunwell DPS numbers... too bad most of us aren't in Sunwell.

Nah, ret pallies still hit pretty hard on Burst teams. The thing i would like to see is the specs involved. I would bet 90% of the paladins in S1 were holy and MAYBE 10% Ret, and now the tables are completely reversed. There is no easier healer to lock down than a paladin.

Hunters _do_ do well in arenas, just the majority of the hunter population are huntards.

As of last week there was only one hunter in the world's top 100 2v2 teams, a .5% representation. To imply that all hunters worldwide except one don't know how to play is just ignorant.

Well he's obviously doing something right, hes rank 1 and hes kept it for a week now, which obviously means that Hunters aren't terrible at arenas. So you do the math

Dominance - *facepalm* statistically, of course there will be outliers in almost any set of data!
It's ludicrous to assume player ineptitude for hunters poor performance in the arena - clearly there is something wrong with the class itself and not the players given the large sample size.

We dont need to see class specs to know that most warriors are MS spec and most druids are Resto but I would really like to have that information too for deeper analysis of class/spec combos.
Setup would also be great,knowing wich combos are really the best.
Overall, GG blizz its the decline of fun.
