More like how the black slaves were brought to America by the English settlers...not the Nazi's and Jews imo.

What the OP is saying is that the original hordes invasion into Azeroth was very much like a Nazi invasion. The Slave hood of the Orcs after the Alliance had won was very much like the enslavement of the Jewish people during the times of Ancient Egypt where one man/orc named Mosas-- er I mean Thrall rises up as a unique man among his people and Leads them to the Promised land. The orcs where not brought over as slaves by the Alliance at all..... though Slavery is Slavery no matter what racial or religious twist you put on it. The OP was correct in using the Nazi / Jewish contrasts when talking about the Orcs.LrnSomeHistory KthnxBai

I beg to differ completely, Asgaroth. Unmei is right. Orcs were *not* brought to Azeroth as slaves. They came as bloodthirsty conquerers bent on genocide against whoever stood in their way. They only became slaves after they lost everything. The reason I mention the Nazis is because, like Germans, they have this horrific history, when their people did many reprehensible things and now they have to live with that (even if, like Thrall, they weren't personally there when it happened). One of the reasons Thrall is so well respected is, aside from his own innocence in regard to the horrors of his elders' time, his father was also the foremost opponent to those horrific actions, based on principle (even though his father isn't exactly free of all sin, he was better than anyone else of his time).

Basically it's all down to formulas where certain values can be plugged in at will.------------Phase 1:(Charismatic Leader) + (Misguided Public) = (Bloodthirsty Army)"Charismatic Leader" = Gul'dan (or) Hitler"Misguided Public" = Orcish Clans (or) post-WWI Germany"Bloodthirsty Army" = Orcish Horde (or) National Socialist (Nazi) Party------------Phase 2:(Bloodthirsty Army) + (Unaware Sub-Culture) = GENOCIDE"Bloodthirsty Army" = Orcish Horse (or) National Socialist (Nazi) Party"Unaware Sub-Culture" = Jewish Community (or) Draenei RaceGENOCIDE = ... well, this one's pretty self-explanatoryThe unspecified segment of this equation is that the Draenei would be the equivalent of the Jews / Gypsies / generally any independent thinkers who were declared "against the greater good" by (Charismatic Leader).------------Now, there is still some merit in your comparison of the lethargic, post-war Horde to the legions of African slaves who were horribly abused in the colonial era (and well into the Civil War era). In not-so-ancient history, Africans were rounded up into forced labor programs, much the same way that the remaining Orcs were gathered together into Internment Camps. However, the reasons for the suffering of the Orcs and African slaves were VASTLY different: In the case of the Orcs, the former Horde brought it on themselves, whereas African slaves were forced to endure horrors beyond imagining simply due to human greed.Oddly enough, there is also considerable irony in the fact that the former Orcish Horde - who, as stated above, originally resembled Nazi Germany, whipped into a frenzy that would have made Hitler proud - were the ones who were eventually rounded up into Internment Camps that, unfortunately, sound a bit too similar to the Concentration Camps of Nazi Germany's Holocaust.
