WoW Moviewatch: Horde vs. Alliance
The model viewed characters need some work, but the voices and topic matter help make this an instant classic. The Alliance team members are portrayed as whiny and disorganized, while the Horde are prim and proper. He leaves us with a cliffhanger, so we won't know what side wins until later. Given his humorous bias towards the Horde, you can easily figure it out without seeing the battle, though.

that just made my day.
Jay Aug 24th 2008 12:17PM
Well, he got the Alliance side exactly right. Strangely enough I actually am that Draenei warrior saying "lose quickly."
brucimus Aug 24th 2008 5:36PM
Dumbasses like Jay are why winning Alliance side WSG is an uphill battle. You just gotta hope the other 7-8 people are not like him.

"Let's just lose quickly so we can get our mark."
Pure and total win. Rolling both factions, this is how I'd say most BGs go...with the exception of AV, where the teams trade places.
Matazuma Aug 24th 2008 12:56PM
I hate when anyone says that in a BG it just demoralizes
the raid as a whole .
Pisses me off so much
Jay Aug 24th 2008 4:15PM
Well it pisses me off when AV has been going for an hour, we're losing anyway, and every single person is defending. GG slowing down the losing process.
I'm not saying give up before you tried, but when we're facing a pre-made that actually knows what they are doing and they are winning, there's no point just making the fight last longer than it needs to.
Kawalski Aug 24th 2008 7:29PM
I don't get why people have a problem with long AV's... When I get like 150 Honorable Kills, it's more than worth my time when you add up all the Honor.
But then again I've had Maxed out AV Marks for awhile...
ScorchHellfire Aug 25th 2008 11:30PM
seriously... av will never go as long these days as it used too... if you have an hour long one then im guess its a good thing you didnt get to do the old 4-10 hour ones (if not longer) with equally long queue times... compared to those, the current av is nothing...
but yeah this movie is pretty much accurate... i personally love how the undead guys sound lol...
vlad Aug 24th 2008 12:31PM
i watched this.
it was not boring.
alliance will win just due to clumsy luck.
sharkeater Aug 26th 2008 11:43AM
I'm saddened to say it as my three seventys are alliance.... but he hit it on the mark. I've already got a horde in the works.
Jamie Aug 24th 2008 12:48PM
Meh. I'm Horde and they do that too.
wowblogger Aug 24th 2008 12:50PM
Of course the alliance will win. Its not like we have 4 players against 15 at the start as usual? :)

I don't care what the bias is against the alliance in mainstream thought. I will continue to beat the horde consistently while they have they're delusional thoughts.

their* Edit for 5m after posting would be delightful.
Romprstompr Aug 24th 2008 1:36PM
Lol, this video is so true!!
Hilus Aug 24th 2008 1:05PM
Funny, indeed.
Stereotypical, but funny anyway...(i play Horde).
uden dauth Aug 24th 2008 1:06PM
This is exactly how bg's are in my battlegroup. I am not sure if the horde is that nice, since I hear the horde in my battlegroup are a bunch of jersks. But none the less that is how the alliance is.
"BUFFS PLZZ!"
"LETS JUST LOOSE AS FAST AS WE CAN."
"STFU and try."
"team 1 do this, team 2 do that."
"GTFO WHO MADE YOU LEADER?!"
schwonga Aug 24th 2008 1:05PM
You know how much I would give to have that kind of rational planning discussion in just half of my BGs? I swear just a little bit of cohesiveness in a raid and communication and you win everytime.
Oh well
zappo Aug 25th 2008 11:40AM
The really sad truth here is that there really isn't much of a strategy in WSG. You send a team in to get a flag, you defend the flag carrier. Second group defends. If they get rolled over and your flag carrier is alright in your tunnel, you reinforce the people trying to get our flag back. That's IT. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out.
However the interesting thing is that unlike a real war type game, you die then come back. You don't control when you'll rez, or in other BGs; where you'll rez. At this point it's up to people being flexible but still able to cooperate and work as a team. That is often the factor that ends up deciding games more than whatever you initially intended to do.
