Blood Elf tank and Murloc hair bow, as seen on Etsy
Alice Taylor has quite the eye for scoping out awesome gaming crafts, and just recently, she did a nice roundup (and another post) that had two great handmade WoW items in it. First up was this great-looking Sin'dorei (that's Blood Elf, in case you're not up on your Thalassian) tank top -- it was originally a T-shirt that the maker, smarmyclothes, turned into a tank top with some industrious cutting and stiching. Looks great -- at $52, the price is a little steep, but then again, this is a one-of-a-kind handmade item, so you get what you pay for.And second was this Murky hair bow -- to tell the truth, I have no idea what a hair bow does (it must tie hair back or something, right?), but I am a huge Murky fan, or at least a fan of /punting the little guy, so any article of clothing with him on it, no matter what it's for, gets my approval. The bows are two for $11, and it looks like there's only one in stock, so SugarPopRibbons is probably making them to order. But I'm sure if you're patient, you can get your hands (or hair, I guess) on one.
Seen any other great WoW crafts, on Etsy or anywhere else? Let us know!

Why can't we have a picture like this for the "Picture It" column.

Wooohooo! LOL! I never thought I would see my item here!
Yes, I do make the bows by hand. The normal sizes are 3" wide (for toddlers), but I can make them much larger for you ladies out there.
I make these hair bows for my daughter and she wears them everyday (works great to keep the hair out of her eyes).
This is a photo of what the bows look like on my daughter.

normal people would see 'tank' and think shirt, and see 'bow' and think 'something made of ribbon'
...I saw 'blood elf tank' and thought 'prot pally' and saw 'murloc hair bow' and was really, really confused how you'd shoot a bow made out of murloc hair

Not to be mean ,but you do realize that what you're doing is illegal... right? Its no different than ripping off cartoon characters, disney, etc. You did not design that murloc. You stole the graphic.
Maybe I'm the only one seeing this?

I love it; I wish jinx would make shirts like that for females instead of the usual tshirt styles.

I'm pretty sure the copyright restrictions do not apply to the shirt, which is reconstructed from an official product- as opposed to being screenprinted (etc) with a Blizz design.
The Murky does get those restrictions though. Unless Etsy has fundamentally changed in the year since I last used their fantastic site, they do not condone copyright violations at all.
Wow Insider seems to like to pick and choose which violations they condone/promote and which they rail against (with at least 1, the comic, being a non-issue of parody).

Etsy won't make you take it down, but Blizzard could if they wanted to. I've seen it happen with other re-purposed and recycled clothing with brands on Etsy.

Actually I just looked all through this particular seller's store and I can't find any of the Warcraft items there any longer. I think they may have been ganked from the shop.

I just bought two hearthstones from RichmondArt; One a keychain and the other a desktop paperweight. I know hearthstones are a relatively common craft among the WoW artists, but these are by far my favorite in design. Plus the swirls glow in the dark! :D

That shirt is pretty sweet, I might have to make my for my self. I also have to agree with the boys, shes totally cute.
And also, hair bows don't tie your hair back - they just clip in to your hair and look pretty. You can sometimes you use them to clip back that one bit of hair that falls in you face. But they mainly just look cute =D

I bet she's just as snotty and annoying as the belfs in the game.

Now, now. I'm sure that someday, someone will go out with you.
You might have to wait until you're in high school first, though.

I'm a little late on this, but SQUEE! Thanks so much for featuring my tank in your blog. It sold quick, too... Thanks to you, I'm sure.
And to confirm previous posts- I made the tank from a licensed t-shirt. The First Sale Doctrine allows the purchaser to do pretty much whatever they want with a legit licensed item, short of copying it. I could burn my t-shirts, if I wanted. But that wouldn't be very much fun.
I never ever ever use bootlegged merch. I fart in it's general direction.
Thanks for all the feedback and compliments, even the pervy ones.
