I'm going to have to go with the general consensus that the winners were poor picks. Collaging together previously created art can work in some instances but when people obviously go to the trouble of creating unique things for a contest entry, they should be at the head of the pack.

Wish I'd known about this contest. I could have had fun with a design for this.
