WoW Moviewatch: The full version of Sunwell released
When I wrote about Cilo's Sunwell trailer the other day, I had no idea that he'd complete the full movie this quickly. You can expect more sweeping scenery and chaotic battles with a wide variety of enemies. He weaves in cut scenes to break up the raid footage a bit. Combined with a dramatic soundtrack, it's pure win.

Wow. The soundtrack and editing were simply amazing.
Thanks for creating this!

Cool video, but unfortunately it leaves out the storyline. It would've been nice to see the parts where the bosses talk to the players, and hear their dialog and stuff.

Agreed, otherwise its a phenomenal video.

wow..awesome...awesome editing...music...everything
especially for someone like me who will never see any of those fights in-game, it was great to have them glimpsed in such a fantastic way
I often wonder how you would make something like this...How do you manage to do what you need to do in the raid, while also getting these great shots
much respect to the author of this video, and thanks so much for putting it up on WI

It was well-edited and a lot of the footage was very dramatic, but for me it began to suffer a bit from "and more of the same" syndrome around halfway through. Pacing and variation (both visual and auditory) is, imo, as important as pretty.
(For me, it won't have as much replay value as Fury of the Sunwell I & II or the SK-Gaming KJ World First, both of which I feel incorporate boss emotes to great effect.)

fan-damn-tastic...thanks for putting this out, amazing look at The Sunwell that most of us will never get.

Awesome video, props to Cilo for making something like this. Hopefully i'll have experienced all of it myself by the time wotlk comes out, and this video just makes me even more eager :D

I loved it! Reminds me so much of "Burning Crusade: The movie" Which was a phenomenal piece of machinima. At first I was surprised that there was no dialog, but the amazing sound track and use of camera portrayed real sugnifigence and story and build up to Kil'jaden's arrival.
And not only that, but it didn't slow down! The Movie continued forwad into Northrend which I couldn't be more happy about.
Although I am still surprised that Dialog was left out on a whole and added story wasn't there (After what was done in The Burning crusade Movie with Human Thrall and Nelf Akrma) a part of me was longing for something with the lore characters of the shattered sun, and a MgT run being shown tandem with the sun well run, although that's just me wanting more like the spoiled machinima viewer I am ^^
And I can't not mention how good it is to have a cinematic representation of the Sun well instance, as I'm still fighting Gruul and tier 4 content, I love to see these things.
*Runs of searching the wow moviewatch archives for the burning crusade movie again*

Wow. The KJ fight gave me chills. I had no idea how chaotic it was. 46/50

Good sound track, bad presentation.
Where's the story? Jack's BT video and the BT video done by the german guild a few months back were far better in their presentation.

I'm not all that big a fan of the wow machinima or in game movies with a couple of exceptions (Oxhorn, Baron Soosdon music videos, and the Nhim stuff) but this was really well done.
Last time I actually watched a whole video without skipping through a good portion of it was "The Device Has Been Modified."
Well Done

Great video!
SK Gaming recorded their entire clear of Sunwell and had a commentary & interviews during it. The video is available at http://www.joost.com/35l90bp

The cinematography in a lot of the shots in the movie is really good. Trying to raid, and at the same time, get that dramatic angle seems like it would be tough. I really enjoyed this movie.

That was brilliant. I am shocked at how extremely well that was put together. Easily the best WoW movie I've ever seen...hope to see more down the road!

Drakthorn Sep 1st 2008 12:11AM
i want more of these. ill never get to raid, and i dont think it would have such good music if i did, so these kinds of movies are amazing.
and i agree, some story via boss-talk would make it 100% epic
