Flintlocke returns, now with more Horde
Fan favorite webcomic Flintlocke's Guide to Azeroth is back in business after a far-too-long hiatus. Sort of. The GameSpy hosted webcomic is back in sequel form, entitled Flintlocke vs. The Horde. With a plan to release five panels/pages each week from the original Flintlocke author Dave Kosak, I'm pretty excited about it. Flintlocke's Guide to Azeroth was by far one of my favorite WoW comics when it was still running.Flintlocke vs. The Horde actually has no Flintlocke in sight yet. It's told from the point of view of the Horde rather than our old pals from the previous series. We'll see them eventually, I'm sure. So far the comic has gotten some laughs out of me, but it's been a little too heavy on the stoner humor. Don't get me wrong, stoner humor can be hilarious, but it usually works better as a support joke rather than the punchline. That's just my thoughts on it, though. Regardless, I've bookmarked this comic to see where it goes and I recommend at least giving it a look.

Best WoW comic and my god how it has been missed. Dark Legacy is cool too, but Flintlocke was consistently funny and had a great story.

I see what you mean about the stoner humor... I usually find the people bragging about how high they are in-game to be more sad than funny.
I mean, cool, you're high, but is that really your only source of validation? Have you done anything else lately that we could maybe talk about instead? No? Okay, go ahead and tell me about how high you are again.

That was funny... it's wierd how accurately he portrays that when questing you never know what kinda person you're gonna run into... hahaha... the stoner jokes are the punchline because the guy ran into a stoner. If he spends a month on the subject it'll get old.. but I'm sure the author will continue to be humorous. Seems like a great comic. Made me laugh a lot.

Some great ones, some misses. I hope the classic nature of Flintlocke continues, as I was so sad to see the end of the original.
I suppose the drug humor works in the sense that everyone has encountered the oddness in PUGs before, but I hope it won't be a major theme. The original worked because of the bizarre interactions between the characters and the poking fun at the game, and I hope to see it return.

The original Flintlocke started out similarly, it wasn't amazing. It was, however, one of the few WoW comics in existence, it practically invented them. By the time other decent ones started popping up Flintlocke has found his legs and taken off running.
I expect a similar showing here. Initially things will be a little iffy, but before too long it'll explode in lolz.

never read the previous comic, but read the new run and it was quite hilarious. Looking forward to more adventures with Rok'tar and Gravy.

Don't get too attached.
Every humor/comic project Fargo has done has ended without warning, lain silent for months, gets an announcement of its return with an artistic revamp, and then dies again after only a few strips of the "new" style.
This happened with both the Daily Victim and Flintlocke's Guide to Azeroth, and I expect the same thing will happen to this strip.

Good to see Flintlocke back again. As one of the granddaddies of WoW comics, it certainly was one of the best. You can count the number of decent WoW comics on one hand. On that list, I would include Dark Legacy, Teh Gladiators and Ding!

ok, where is Flintlocke's soul twin Orc brother lol
can't wait...
