Gear isn't really an issue. I suppose it would suck if you wanted to run BRD, but once the RAF player(s) hit Outland leveling speed returns to normal and the old craptacular gear is replaced within the first few hours. As far as skill goes, the RAF'd player has a veteran with them at all times by nature of the promotion (no faster leveling if the quest is trivial to either party or they aren't in proximity). In addition to the veteran training them, they're still looking at 30-40 hours of play time minimum to hit 60. That's more on-the-job training time than most entry level jobs have. This promotion has nothing but a huge success. I reactivated my two accounts and grabbed a third so I could level some alts. I also paid for an account-to-account transfer. This promo will make Blizzard a ton on new accounts and transfers and no one, not even the hyperbolist author, is going to quit the game because of it. If anything this will liven up the game for existing player's not taking advantage of the promotion since there have been reactivated accounts and new players.
