Beta patch possible today with changes to XP, Storm Peaks, and premade characters
According to Tigole, Blizzard will "try to patch" the Wrath of the Lich King beta today. Storm Peaks will open back up and should not crash the sever. No word yet if Naxx will be introduced in this patch. The servers should be up between 4:30 p.m. PDT and 6:30 p.m. PDT.The XP required to level will also be reduced by 10% this beta patch. Things should go faster for all you playing around with leveling.
Finally, there will be a new beta realm opening up named Murmur. Tigole mentioned that the premade characters should not have been made available on the existing realms. He tells us that "they are being removed." There is no indication as to whether or not current premade characters will be moved to the new realm or just outright deleted.

Can't wait for that XP change in 3.0.2. With my wife starting to play and the new RaF bonuses, I'll have a couple of level 60's that will be able to take advantage of the boost to get to 70.

Would have to disagree with...
"There is no indication as to whether or not current premade characters will be moved to the new realm or just outright deleted."
He says right on that line that you linked that these premade characters are supposed to be for a specific premade character realm. Sounds like it definitely won't be deleted.

POST COURTESY OF MMO-CHAMPION!!!

They linked to the source posts. Just because the didn't post first, doesn't mean they didn't learn of this themselves. I like MMO-Champion too, but seriously, -50 points for this show.
No drama please.

Why is it that you spend all your time commenting on here that WoW Insider are stealing MMO Champions thunder? It's a blog. It is a bunch of possibly-true information collected from other sources. Get a life.

Greetings.
I had my information processed and ready to go prior to it being posted on MMO-Champion. I was a hungry little beta tester looking for all information, and came across the blue posts seconds after they were made.
MMO-Champion is a great site, I frequent it often. However, we have two very different publishing styles. We have a lot of authors publishing stories throughout the day, where as MMO-Champion has BB (a great guy I'm told, though I haven't had the pleasure of meeting him myself).
It wouldn't be appropriate for me to say "Sorry Alex, your story about how Paladins are going to pown more face then Shamans in PvP (see how I kid) isn't as important as my post about a possible beta patch." So I space things out, and set my post to go live at an appropriate time.
Life is good, we all get along, and I'm going to go buy some beer for tonight as my new beta patch downloads.
Cheers,
~ Adam.

In any case, there is a word for magazines/blogs that compile other information for the benefit of fans. I forget what. But it exists!!!
I find wowinsider way easier to read than mmo-champ.

I'm patching in 3.0.2.8885 now, I hope I don't have to sit through this again. :/

Damn, I do.

My premades that I tried to get onto Northrend (before I found out they were intended only for Murmur, of course) have been deleted and I have no more premades available for copy. This is seriously annoying if it's the way they're gonna leave it. Especially since Blizzard never said "premades available for Murmur only" before they enabled it. I call shenanigans!
