Personally, I am not a fan of the new BE Arcane Torrent. I think thatit has potential but not what it needs yet. I am a Prot Pally and Iuse it all the time while soloing. I get about 490 Mana back when Ihave all three charges up. I only have a 5900 mana pool. At 6% returnI only get around 340 back under the new system. This system favorsplayers with LARGE pools of mana. At the typical geared 70 mana poolof about 10K, it ends up being 600 mana or more. While I am lovingthe change to BoS, I think that the racial should be at least 10% ofmana not 6%. Otherwise I think my BE Rogue can live without the other15 energy from the current version.

Thought about it and maybe 10% of base mana would be better, cause if you get a mage or priest in there and they suddenly get 2k mana back cause they are buffed, that would be quite upsetting to say the least. Still, I think that the 6% is a little low.

You're only getting 8% with the current system, and people with high mana pools (like geared-out mages who have nearly twice the mana you do) get even less.Under the current system, if your targets happen to have mana, and if you remember to use Mana Tap every time it comes up, you get 483 mana back every two minutes. If your targets don't have mana, you get nothing, since you can't Mana Tap a mana-less target. I don't know what the ratio of non-magic-using to magic-using mobs is in the game, but I'm willing to bet it's at least 50-50. Given an average distribution of mobs, then, you're actually going to be recovering about 241 mana every two minutes.Under the new system, you - with 5900 mana, at level 70 - get 354 mana back every 2 minutes, regardless of whether your targets have mana or not. You'd need to hit 8050 mana to get the current maximum return of 483 mana - but since you don't have to worry about whether your targets have mana or not, your *effective* mana return from Arcane Torrent on an average distribution of mobs is actually going to be about 46% higher.
