Cooking love from Wrath Beta patch 8905
Shockingly, the one profession that most people seem to be excited about in Wrath of the Lich King is Cooking. Inscription? Pfffft. Cooking! Luckily, Cooking seems to be one of the professions getting a lot of focus in the beta right now. The last couple of beta patches have brought us a ton of new recipes and quests.
Just recently we've added tons of those new recipes to our Wrath Cooking gallery, including both the new recipes in this weekend's beta patch and the ones that had previously been inaccessible from the patch before that, so there's plenty there to see. Some of the recipes are useful (spell power, expertise, haste, that whole spiel) and some are just for fun (growing, shrinking, enslaving mini critters to your iron will), but they're all pretty good examples of why Cooking is so exciting in WoW. While it isn't among the new recipes, Kungaloosh has a special place in my heart. Kungaloosh. Kungaloooosh. Say it!

Some pretty awesome recipes. Guess I really need to lvl my fishing on my toons.

These look pretty cool. I like the feasts and the fact that a lot of the recipes refill both health AND mana. Controlling the small critters recipe can be useful in instances.

Kungaloosh is an homage to The Adventurers Club on Pleasure Island at DisneyWorld. It's how you toast when raising your glass.
On a sadder note, the club will be closing permanently in just a few weeks. Probably because their finest cast member left the country about a year ago.

I too had seen that recipe and immediately thought of The Adventurer's Club... and had to tell the wife and we both got a good laugh that it was included in the WotLK beta. And sadly, we will no longer be able to be there for the closing... we're going to be there in early November.

What caught my eye, is that for a lot of them the well fed buff lasts for a hour!
Also, there is quite a range of well fed buffs to use.

I did notice yesterday that the Baked Manta Ray wasn't restoring both health and mana... it was one of the big reasons for me to make sure my cooking and leveling were up so that I could dump having to carry both food and drink.
But this is beta... it's expected. And it was reported as a bug.

Glad to see Blizz get creative with some of the new recipes. I am a little bummed to see so many fish-based ones though. How about a little more love for those of us who like our meat on the hoof and not a fin? ;)

I can't believe it...still no love for the vegetarians. This is an outrage!

How can you get to Lvl.70+ without killing animals?

Perhaps alchemists should be given a 'Transmute meat to soy' skill ^^

Nice variety of Tank foods now depending on whether you want avoidance or threat. No more fisherman's feast all day everyday for tanks!

I love these tracking food so much!
I'll even be caught buying some before I reach the needed cooking skill :)
