They are destroying Retribution paladins slowly but surely. And the worst part, they do not even realize it!Recent Naxx raid shows Retribution paladin hitting 2157 dps on Patchwerk. As an alliance Retribution paladin I have hit 2186 on brutallus. 10 levels lower, without all the supposed new bells and whistles, and the numbers went DOWN. Sorry, this is unacceptable. No one advances only to get WORSE.Vengence dropped to 10%, loss of 5% of DPS.Avenging wrath dropped to 20%, loss of 10%.And lets not forget the biggest problem, raid buff stacking. It is no secret that the class that got the most benefit from a perfect raid set up on live is the Retribution paladin. We were therefore the most nerfed with this change. All of of the utility from a Retribution paladin is available with other classes. All of the other classes that have the same utility will do more damage. What the hell are these people thinking?

Was this naxx ret dps wearing all the new gear that hasn ' t been included in the beta yet? A ret pally on brutallis is going to be wearing some form of T6, and that ilevel of gear and above hasn ' t really been implemented, to the best of my knowledge.

A rogue in the same raid did over 4200 dps. Gear is not the reason.

Your also assuming that this retribution paladin knew what he was doing. I've been around since just after day one, and I gotta tell you, about three fourth of retri's that I've met are idiots, and I can't even begin to tell you the sheer number of idiotic ones I've run into in BGs as well. Yes, I know, PvP does not equal raiding, but DPS is DPS. Its entirely possible this retri in Naxx had very little real clue what he was doing. It is also possible, however, that this paladin rocked hard, and the tree is being screwed over. Again. Personally, and considering the changes so far, I think it might be a combination of both. Especially in Naxx, so overflowing with undead, when you'll want to use exorcism every time the cooldown is up, a lack of mana is very likely to kill retris.
