WoW Moviewatch: Wings for Hector
Hector and Eulogie, the creators of Wings for Hector, mixed Rogue PvP with cut-scenes and a rockin' soundtrack to bring the audience heart-pumping action. Coming in at just under 12 minutes, this video isn't for the faint of heart, or those prone to seizures. The aspect ratio jumps around quite a bit, but so do the flashing images. Viewers be warned that there are mild subliminal elements, but hopefully that won't stop you from enjoying this trip down memory lane ...

I love subliminals

*Sigh* @ this comment system. I wrote a whole story, but it only shows three words...
Anyhoo..
This movie kinda reminds me of Fight Club, where you would see Tyler Durden Flicker through the screen, in 1 frame.
Movies like this make me curious everytime. To pause at every subliminal you see, to check what the author wrote there.
Lot of bible references, or bible "sort" of texts in the subliminal. I wonder if he meant a message by them, or just to creep up the whole "dark" thingy thats going on in this movie.

Funny thing about this one, and something that I particularly liked, was that it melded superfluous borderline pretentious style with some really good, solid, honest, bare-bones PvP. The Karazhan fight seems almost choreographed in it's intricacy. Remember how PvP used to be, and despair that those days are gone.

Anyone else notice that the rogue doing the PvP was undead and everyone he is killing was Horde? Was looking for a Orb of Deception but none to be found. Last time I heard there wasn't a free-for-all PvP server. My guess would be a private server was used for the film.

Does it matter if a privat server was used? TBH, this is one of the more entertaining pvp vids i have seen, normally pvp is boring as hell, but this was entertaining.

Model changing. Easier back then than it is now. (no third-party program needed)

The big payoff for this movie is the excellent choreography when Maynard sings "Give me my wings" just as Hector jumps off. Well played.
I didn't like how he mashed up the two parts of the song near the end, that sounded bad. Otherwise very cool video.

"Irrelevant. Subliminal images are proven to have a deep sub-conscious impact on the mind. When an amateur fucks with them, he has no idea what effects it might have on his audience. The fact that they're their in the first place is what's unacceptable."

I knew it was something complicated like a love/hate relationship between you and subliminal images.
That's cute, I forgive you.

Any vid who has Tool in their tracklist dont need good pictures to be good, one can just close ones eyes and ejoy the wounderous voice of Maynard...
That the vid have wicked cuts and stuff just makes fan'frigging'tastic... - Ilike this twisted display of pictures.
