Monkey Island on EU Aggramar this Saturday
We have to say -- the trailer is awesome. It makes Stranglethorn Vale look like a place we want to visit again, and that's saying something. Everything kicks off around 2:45 server time, and while most of the events will be for the Alliance, we're told that there will be Horde translaters available. Always awesome to see really well coordinated player events -- if you're able to jump on the Aggramar realm this Saturday, do check it out (and be sure to tell us how it went).

LucasArts should do us all a favor and go back to making adventure games again. I would give anything for a sequel to "Day of the Tentacle."
I agree - this was a pretty amazing idea. Horde should respond with an event called Grim Fandango, to be held around Undercity.

yay i'm on that realm, finally i can actually take part in an event rather than just read about it afterwards

Insult Sword Fighting. Hell Yes!
"You fight like a dairy farmer!"
"How appropriate! You fight like a cow!"
Hehe... That brings back memories. I'll have to pull those games out now.
I wonder if there'll be an Undead character named "Lechuck" participating...

I fail to imagine why they would choose Sept 13th for this.
Sept 19th is the "International Talk Like a Pirate Day" (http://www.talklikeapirate.com/). With both dates so close, it would be a much better time to do this event to "celebrate all things pirate".

Actually, DPC have been running these events for quite a while, they always get a good turn out. Last year we had a series of arena matches on the day, whittling down to two teams for the final. My guild was one of them, and was only spoiled when one particular horde guild decided to crash the match en masse, much to the dismay of everyone else there - horde and alliance alike. It usually ends with a costume competition (and there are some good ones), and fireworks - lots and lots of fireworks. It's usually a blast!

'lo there,
I'm one of the organisers of this event, and thought I'd let you know that we've just managed to sort out a WotLK beta key as a prize. It'll be first prize in the costume contest.
Hope to see you there!
