WoW Moviewatch: An introduction to The Chronicles of Nightfall
Here's what I'd like to see -- Desperate Housewives in WoW form. Rederik should have come home to find his wife making out with the teenaged herbalist. He'll have more important things on his mind, though, as he's facing tax evasion charges for not paying gold for years. Meanwhile, the stares of the other women on the street do nothing to comfort them, but those women have secrets of their own ... The moral of the story is to describe your series better from the very beginning.

The music and camera movements were a little too dramatic for someone ending their day and coming home. It gave the hint of danger, yet there was no danger. He came home and nothing bad ever happened.

give him a break will ya?
it was just a random idea that poped up in his mind, not script or anything was made for this, he just did this for fun to test how the whole thing works

I agree with ThorinII in that it seemed as if any moment something would break the tension and come after the guy and the fight scene would begin with clashing swords and flashes of magic. At the end, I'm left wondering what is going to happen next merely because nothing happened in this one. Hopefully the fact that night-time is coming has something to do with the Chronicles of Nightfall (like maybe at night he becomes the bad guy or something?). ah well. Depending on what the author's intent with this piece was (maybe that should be more clear-the intent, cuz i didn't pick up on any)... but depending on what his intent was, the next one could either be very good or very bad. I do like the sound track. The video was fairly well done. The character is beginning to develop in a good way. We just need more definition (as Moo said) to what the story is even about. Just my opinion.

Seriously WTF....I have no indication what will happen in the future and no motivation to wait for the rest....
And WTF...do humans now only hook up with Night Elves?

This was an excellent guide on how to make crappy machinima. I can't wait for the second installment on how to make even crappier movies. I've heard the last episode is composed entirely of MS Paint drawings!

I would only ask that you show us your works so that we may compare. I'm not trying to start an argument, but since you are being so severely critical of this work, I would enjoy seeing anything that you've done that would back up your criticism.

Desperate Housewives in WoW? That's so very, very doable. And would probably be incredibly popular. Hmm... *Thinks*

Well, despite what...ahem...other people may have mentioned, I thought that this was very well put together. The shadowing was off in a couple of spots (Stormwind commons, for instance, where the sun and the shadow shared the same side) and in the beginning the scene transitions were a bit too jerky, but all-in-all, the concept and the execution were stunning. Okay, so there was no real plot - chances are, this was this person's first machinima. A great start, in my opinion. So what's my opinion worth? Well, let's put it like this. I've been making amateur movies (live-action) for years now, and I tend to be very critical during the final edit. What I've seen here is great attention to detail and wonderful scene building. Kudos, and I eagerly await future releases from Ivanzoe.

Doh! That should have read, "Chances are, this was this person's first machinima for public release." It's quite apparent that he's practiced and probably has many others on his hard drive as he continues to learn.
