Can't really keep track of your rant on that one...are you flip-flopping between beta and current (non-beta, nonwrath) play?
Never knew that locks got free mounts; if you mean regular lvl30 mounts, then 1) it costs to learn the spell so it's not even technically free 2) Other classes get their mounts/travel form outside of paying outright, so.... Epic mount?.... Run the epic lock mount quest chain....it's not free from time or money.
Instant fears are in beta (if you spec into it) and most of those abilities you ran through are dependant on a couple of different pets being out (including felguard, which means some of your list isn't available unless ur specced into it...).
Locks can do a lot, but you just threw out a list of every ability (current and upcoming) they "could" have with various specs, pets, and even a new expansion rolled into one...nice try.
Mages are nothing to take lightly by any class when they know what they're doing and are geared well enough. They're slippery SOBs with CC and a strong punch. (I've owned every class out there and BEEN owned by every class out there...certain rock-paper-scissors trends are there, but individuals can turn that on its head at any time. )
BTW, most casting classes can get rid of at least some (if not all) DoTs and curses no problem...not sure what u meant there, either. Let's not even get into how many ways there are to break- or be immune to- fear nowadays...
If this had been a lock article i'd keep going...

There's your instant fear. I should have said "instant horrify" (much better). I had no idea that there were instant fears in the beta. And yes, I know that I was throwing out a list of everything a warlock can have (though I don't see where I referenced the felguard specifically), because I was trying to highlight to the poster before me the irony in him complaining that a warlock can't do ONE thing when they have so many other abilities, in the light of which the inability to kite properly seems a bit petty.
A few more points of explanation: by the unremovable debuff I meant Unstable Affliction, which I concede CAN be safely removed by some classes, but then only on a CD. And btw, every lock I speak to seems to say that fear breaks all the time really easily ect ect. Maybe I just suck at the RNG factor, but apart from ice block I don't see that as being true - not against mages anyway. Two points about fear, which make it massively superior to sheep: You can damage through it, and it doesn't heal.
Your point about the whole rock-paper-scissors thing is valid, which is what I trying to point out in my post.
What I was objecting to was not the warlock class in general, but the nature of the post to which I was replying.

And there's your stun - I just worked out what you thought I was talking about. I'd forgotten your felguard had the intercept thing. Yes, I am aware that you have to spend talent points to get either of these (zomg talented abilites don't count ofc).
