WoW Moviewatch: I really wish you didn't love the whole world
Don't get me wrong. The video isn't that horrible, and neither is her voice. However, 4:39 is a bit overzealous, especially when the last minute of it is a guy jumping around for no reason. My advice would be to make an ordered list of the things that you love, and only sing about the first 20!
[Thanks, Alex!]

Slow news day? Nothing good to post--so you post something you don't like just to dump on it?
Farseer Lolotea Sep 13th 2008 5:13PM
I don't see why he's dumping on it, myself. So she looped the tune. At least she kept coming up with new lyrics instead of just repeating herself.
And that song is older than the Discovery Channel. In fact, it's older than television. "I love the mountains/I love the rolling hills..."

I was just reading that xkcd comic...

I thought it was a very nice video, thought she sang too softly during Boom De Yada
Seafog Sep 13th 2008 12:32PM
You missed the 'point' of the jumping guy.
It was an outtake, the guy wouldn't get out of her screen. :)
I'm guessing it was so bizzare they had to show it at least a little bit.

That's exactly it! He Would.Not.Stop.Jumping. I found out a few days later, that he's known for that, and his guild thought it was hilarious that I had included him.

I agree.Someone pushing the space bar over and over again is so hilarious! LOL!
Drakkenfyre Sep 13th 2008 12:31PM
Personally, I thought the video was funny as hell, lol.

Hilarious... even though I don't love as much of the Alliance stuff as she does, I still thought it was awesome.
I rofl'd at Crusty Bob.

She (?) does not love the taurens NOES
Ilcyra Sep 13th 2008 3:21PM
The is no question mark about my she-ness :-)
"Tauren" is very hard to rhyme (unless you go with "sporran" the bag that goes in front of a kilt), so I gave all the love to Thunderbluff, sorry!

I liked it a lot
Asurra Sep 13th 2008 12:59PM
I thought it was a great movie :) and an expression of all the things that make WOW fun to play ,i guess its not to some peoples tastes
But it made a refreshing change from the usual overly dramatic machininma and PVP videos

I like it a lot. I guess it could be shorter.
A friend of mine wants to get his guild to do a similar video - "I love my whole guild" and show off all the people from different walks of life who come together in his guild. I really hope he manages to get it together.

i liked it. on one hand, i understand why you'd say it runs a tad long, but on the other hand, i kept waiting to see what else was on the list, so: very entertaining, two thumbs up! my only quibble is that i wish she would have had more people joining in and singing towards the end, making it feel more like "the whole world" -- like on the original commercial.
ascriiw Sep 13th 2008 1:41PM
this video was actually watchable and i even enjoyed it which cant be said for most of the crap that shows up in this column.
Keyra Sep 13th 2008 2:11PM
Make it stop! Maaaake it stooooopppPp!!!!! (runs away screaming)....seriously, though, I liked it. I thought it was funny and cute but yeah, it could have been a lot shorter. But...but now I'm gonna have boom-de-ah-da boom-de-ah-da going through my head all day. Dealing with hurricane Ike wasn't bad enough. No, now I have dancing druid kitty. Thanks for that, Moo! (buries head under covers)

Thanks for posting this, even if it was mostly to complain about it!:-)
Once I got started, I found I just couldn't stop. When I asked the wow_ladies livejournal community what things they loved, it was all over, since they came up with such amazing suggestions.
Keyra Sep 13th 2008 4:09PM
Dancing druid kitty! In my head! Boom-de-ah-da boom-de-ah-da! AAUUGGHH!! :-)
