Limited Edition Wrath keyset for Zboard
The inevitable limited edition Wrath of the Lich King keyset for Zboard from Ideazon has showed up on GameStop. Tipster Brad actually gave word on this a few days ago but we were unable to confirm the product's existence. The specially designed keyset, which follows its predecessors the World of Warcraft keyset and The Burning Crusade keyset, retails for $19.99 an is available for Pre-order and likely to be released at around the same time as the expansion. If you joined the BlizzCon sweepstakes, you just might win one of these babies. Elizabeth Harper did a comprehensive review of the Ideazon World of Warcraft keyset, which has custom keys for basic WoW functions such as emotes (in both PvE and PvP), as well as recordable macros, and other specialized features. Note that you'll still need the Zboard keyboard (about $45) on which to attach the keyset. Brad also mentions a new Ideazon mouse custom-themed for World of Warcraft which should retail for a staggering $100. It's not on Ideazon's site or on any of the affiliated retailers', but we'll keep our eyes peeled and update this post if and when it does show up.

Had one of the Wow Z-boards... simply horrible! Not nearly the comfort of a regular keyboard and the text on the keys was gone in no time.
For those not too bothered by RSI i'm hoping at least they improved the quality.

I've had my Zboard for 2 years now, still have text on my keys... I'm not usually good with stuff, so I'm surprised I still have it tbh.

I don't have room on my desk for one of these monstrosities.

I love my Z-Board. Got a nice solid clicking feel to the keys, and it's the same size and most of the keyboards out there. The only issue I had was more than a year after using the BC keyset, I had to buy a new keyset because of some problems. Most likely the thing wore out.
I'll be getting one of the new ones.

I've actually given thought to making my own keyboard for WoW - something that has the keys that I need exactly where I need them.
I'm one of those that likes to use "W" and "X" for moving forward and back, but I use my mouse's right click to turn. I'm forever hitting the wrong key in the thick of battle and wind up running to the side when I wanted to move forward some more!
I thought about one of these Z-boards, but I've heard a lot of negative things about them, and now I'm seeing that here, too. Something that is custom-designed might just be the way to go, then. I'll have to see what I can come up with ;-)

Logitech G15 is superior to this every possible way.

i've never understood the point of that thing.

ooooh, ultra convienience!! you get to slide half of it off the side of your desk!!
so do they make one in a right handed version? you know with all the extra buttons NOT on the mouse hand side?
what a stupid design lol.

Fairly sure you can put that keypad on either side of the keyboard.

Maybe you could take a look at the upcoming SideWinder X6 keyboard from Microsoft (not working for them :P), the num pad can be moved to the left or to the right and prolly is programmable.

G15 is so much better, Plus i can see my stats on it/whois in vent/ect....Why pay for nothing when you can pay less and get more!

I've always had extreme trouble and frustration with the Zboard, their customer support is terrible and their products are poorly designed. Not to mention the software for the Zboard... complete trash.
If anyone is considering buying one of these, I recommend saving your money for a G15.

Dunno.. as a person who completely remapped half the keyboard, having pre-printed functions is sort of a waste of cash. I could see if if your braindead and don't know how to use a /command, but I'll stick with my Ergodex (http://www.ergodex.com/mainpage.htm) keypad, which basically let's me phsycally put the keys wherever the hell I feel like putting them.

My wife bought the Burning Crusade version of this for me. I worked well for two months then stopped working altogther.
After repeated attempts to contact Ideazone and being ignored on each attempt I gave up and went back to a normal keyboard. I was looking to upgrade to a G15 but I really wanted the bigger version with all the extra macro keys which I belive isnt being built anymore. I may still get the new less macro keys one though.

Cool, but I think I'll keep my Merc Stealth...

I really hope this will be better then those other ones, they was pretty lame tbh. As someone said G15 beats it. So gogo blizz and make something sweet for me! :]
P.S. Make sure this one doesn't broke from playing Guitar hero ;D

Is the Zboard an amazing gaming board? No. Is it a good keyboard? Yeah, definitely.
I bought it as a toy back when I had some spare cash for the original WoW keyset. It's nice to look at but the functions aren't that practical. Granted, the newest drivers vastly widens the use since you can now program every button the way you want.
But the quality of the keyboard itself is why I love it. Even if I couldn't switch out the keypads I'd still buy it. I was very suprised with the quality of it and I'll probably not get a keyboard in many years.
Though, the same is pobably true about the keypads. Unless I feel like spending money on the WotLK one for the sheer geekiness, it depends on how it looks and feels. :)

I realy don't get why so many ppl put Zboard down I've had mine for almost 3 years now and got 5 keysets will be getting the WOTLK one for the heck of it.
PS, I still didn't get any problems with any of the keysets they all stilll work and if you don't HAMER your keys like me the typings on them hasn't fadded even a little.
But i do admit that Zboard support is bad but it do to them only having like 2-4 ppl working on the support i got in contact with thme once. and they are willing to hire more but most ppl are like all of you dissing Zboard and no one wants to help anyway there my 1$ worth of it [lol not my 2 cent hehe]

Wow, I never knew there were so many Z-Board haters out there. Hah. I'm not going to lie, I'll be googling this G15 board as soon as I post this comment. : )
I've had my Z-Board for about a year now with the Burning Crusade faceplate. I absolutely love it. Not only is it a good keyboard as far as typing and gaming is concerned; it's also way easier to clean than a regular keyboard. I've never had any trouble with mine, it's always worked like a charm. A friend of mine [well, now ex friend ;) ] spilled soda on my keyboard. The WoW faceplate held up fine; I actually had to replace the Z-Board itself, though.
I wish there was a better picture of this WotLK faceplate.. I wonder if they put any new functions on it. The gaming keys on the right are in a different order, but it'd be nice to be able to read the functions on the picture. Needless to say, I'll be putting my name on the pre-order list.
