WotLK collector's edition revealed

People have been asking after the collector's edition since the release date for Wrath of the Lich King broke last night. Blizzard has just updated their official site, confirming the November 13 release date and letting us know that there will be a CE (shock!), and what will be in it.
- The game on DVD-ROM [edit: the regular edition will have it on DVD as well]
- A 208-page LK art book
- Frosty, the baby frost wyrm (non-combat pet)
- A DVD with developer interviews, commentary on the cinematic, etc.
- Soundtrack CD
- Mouse pad with a map of Northrend
- Two starter decks for the CCG, and two exclusive cards
This is more or less the same pack-in list as the BC CE had. The pricing will be $70 for the CE, as opposed to $40 for the regular edition (same as for BC, as far as I remember). Will you be buying the collector's edition?

I agree... I would've gone out and blown the $70 without thinking about a few months ago, but I just went back to school, and the extra $30 for some schwag I'll throw in a drawer and forget about and a new pet that 25% of everyone will have will be spent better elsewhere.

It has been know that the CE Pet was frosty for a few months.
A Polar Bear in the CE seems a tad gauche.
They Polar bear pet was an iCoke promotions pet for China. They get all the fun pets over there...

From reading what they have posted on the official site about the contents of the CE, it looks like the rumored early access to a DK was just that, a rumor. Too bad, I would have paid the $30 extra dollars to avoid even a little of the initial DK rush.
I still might, just not as convinced to now.

$30 for a pet is a bargain, I'd pay $150 for CE if they asked that and still consider it fair.

Thats everything but the pet. Id say thats a pretty sweet deal for $30 without a pet involved. 208 page art book? Sweetness. Plus a soundtrack and mouse pad. The cards I dont care much about, but its a hell of a lot better than a lockbox and duffel bag, or some cheap looking Master Chief armor for your in-game character.
