For those of us who either are playing one in the beta or intend to play one when Wrath of the Lich King goes live, here's the list of upcoming changes to the Death Knight straight from Ghostcrawler.The list is divided into DPS changes, tanking changes, DK buff changes and changes to the Runeforging system. Among the highlights, in Ghostcrawler's own particular idiom:
- Ravenous Dead no longer affects Ghoul duration, but grants your rotting little buddy 60% more of your Str and Sta. (Stam goes from 30% of yours to ~50% of yours. Strength goes from 100% to 160%.)
- Veteran of the Third War increased to 6/6/6 Str / Sta / Exp to match warriors.
- Strikes that scale with diseases changed so that the weapon damage, not just the flat damage, scales with the disease.
- No doubt many awesome small tweaks I am forgetting.

Actually he may be referring to GhostCrawler, who did a "first" on his post on the wow forums. I thought it was pretty funny the ghostcrawler did it.

Frost Presence now grants 10% total health in addition to its current bonuses.
woah, great buff for tanking
Bladed Armor now turns armor into Strength (which then is turned into Parry).

Now I still can't decide wether i should make mine Blood or Unholy :-S
Still almost two months to go, maybe they'll mess up somewhere and make the choice easier :-D

Mine is Blood / Unholy and I'm very happy with her, I've tested over 10 different builds and this seem to be the best and most versatile. Also is pretty fun too!

I've played a few different builds at both lv 80 and up to lv 62. So far my favorite is 16/0/55 Unholy. You still get the 2h weapon spec, 5% crit, and Rune Tap from blood plus all the Unholy goodies.

Improved Icy Talons now grants 2% haste at all times.
Woooo! I'm going with a Frost/Unholy build to test out something different. So far I love DK even with a "non-optimized" build after the nerf patch.

My level 60 DK is unholy right now, and I love it. I tried blood, and while I did manage to kill things faster, unholy has a much more epic feel. Do you know how awesome it is to pull 5 mobs, have desecration proc, have your ghoul attacking things, have the insects swarm around you, and have a gargoyle swoop down?

Awesome tweaks imo, and really needed. Restored my hope for the DK-class, and Ghostcrawler really rules :)

If the beta is anything like the PTR in terms of lag, and people seem to be saying it is... I don't see how any of this stuff is getting tested.

^ This a thousand times. I finally got a beta invite last week, but the lag on the beta severs has been almost unbearable. An instant cast takes 5-10 sec's to go off, it takes an NPC about the same amount of time to respond to you. don't know how much can be tested. Haven't been on in the last few days, maybe its improved. I sure hope so
