Around Azeroth: Sky Captain and the World of Warcraft
Hmm, I'm not entirely sure what this submission by "stu" is all about. Clearly it's some sort of ship in Northrend, and I can see an orc on board. Logically, it's probably the Horde gunship in Icecrown that's causing a lot of mysterious crashes lately, but I can't get on beta to check it out. So let's make up a story. Sylvanas Windrunner, hell-bent on revenge, has hijacked the airship from The Golden Compass and flown it to Icecrown, intent on dropping photon torpedoes down the Frozen Throne's one unguarded ventilation shaft. But tragically, she is unaware that Arthas has sabotaged her ship, and if it goes under 55 miles per hour the dragon on the front will spit out the piece of rigatoni it is eating and devour the ship's crew. (Hey, it's less unbelievable than most of the Kael'thas plotlines.)
This image came to us straight from the Wrath of the Lich King beta -- and we'd love to have your beta screenshots, too! If you have anything our readers might like, beta or not, sharing it is as simple as e-mailing aroundazeroth@wow.com with a copy of your shot and a brief explanation of the scene. You could be featured here next!
Remember to include your player name, server and/or guild if you want it mentioned. We strongly prefer full screen shots without the UI showing -- use alt-Z to remove it. No more battleground scoreboards, please.

I think it might be me, but the beta is not getting me excited for WOTLK. I love the story line and enjoy playing the DK to lvl 58 (didn't lvl beyond that...), but I have a problem with lvling my spriest. I hit 71 and the experience wasn't that good for me. Yes, I submitted all the surveys for every quest, since that is my job as a beta tester. I also hate the fact that, I have to wait until lvl 77 to use my flying mount after I work so hard to get it in BC. I am going to put off getting my epic flyer and use the money for other things in WOTLK. Again, I don't know maybe I am not getting it, but I just wanted to see if other ppl are feeling the same way about the beta.

Whatever you do, don't fly into the front cannon of that thing. A friend and I got stuck in there with my hearthstone on cooldown.

Best "Around Azeroth" blog yet. Could you have fit anymore movies into it?

Know what would be cool?
Engineering build multi person flying mounts, zeppelins, flying platforms and what not.
Something you and your group can stand on heroically and launch themselves from from their flying mounts.
Guild bank on board and a repair bot.
Mmm yeah.
Well a boy can dream can he?
And ofcourse the Icecrown zeppelin will already be something like that, but a whole guild gathering the materials to build their very own guild zeppelin with strikes me as something awesome, hell, it's transport and guild housing in one!

A guild zeppelin or mass transport would be a sweet idea. Would be tricky to implement but how sweet to have zeppelin wars between guilds!
Please find a way to make this work blizz!

Another, more doable idea, would be a large guild....thing....like a house or boat or whatever that required lots of contributions from various professions. Imagine guilds recruiting and working together to build things (it could even provide benefits to pvping and raiding so there was inherent reward). Would provide a lot of gaming options for casuals, crafters, gatherers, or non-raiders. Just a thought.
