Well, the obvious idea behind Arcane Blast is that it becomes more mana inefficient the more you cast it, therefore encouraging you to weave other spells into your rotation.

The problem in live is that Arcane Blast never got terribly mana inefficient... at least not enough that it outweighed the extra damage. So if I had plenty of potions and whatnot I'd just chain case AB in raids. Not terribly exciting.

It seems obvious that 300% increase is the wrong number, but I like the idea of not having a cap on the mana inefficiency.

Your retarded theres still a cap on the inefficiency. It still only builds 3 stacks.

Second now theres no reason to use it as a mana dump as the dps of it has been significantly reduced. The spell is ridiculous right now.

Also if your actually talking live right now and not beta ptr, even chain chugging pots/gems/evoc with a spriest will oom you faster than any other spec. Not to mention chugging pots/gems/evoccing are a weakness to the spec. You cant use dest pots and flame caps like fire gets to. And evocs a pretty big dps loss.
