I tested Focus Magic on the Beta.

You can't cast it on yourself, but you can cast it on other players. It buffs their crit by 3%, then when they crit, it gives you an 8 second buff that increases your crit by 3%.

Good parts - it lasts 30 minutes, it's cheap, and it isn't just spell crit (so you can toss it on your 4 party members in a dunegeon.)
Bad part - it's only single target. I also don't know if it works cross party, since I have not been in a raid as my premade mage (still trying to get the handle of the Arcane build.)
