Gamestop listing for "WorldofWarcraft Gaming Mouse"

We got sent this picture by a rogue Gamestop employee -- he says he found a listing in their computer not only for the upcoming Zboards for Warhammer and Wrath of the Lich King, but as you can see, there's also a listing for a "WorldofWarcraft Gaming Mouse." There's no company listed, so we don't know who might be making it, and no other features are listed except the price, which stands at a hefty $99.00. There have been WoW mice available in China for a while, but with the price on this one, we're guessing it'll be a little less colorful and a little more "professional." Hey, if it's got extra buttons on it to help me level up fishing, I'll give it a look.
Our tipster also says it's listed as a November release date, and as you can see above, it looks like we can expect it around November 3rd (a week before Wrath's release). If your mouse is looking a little old and busted lately, and you've got some of that tax refund check still sitting around waiting to be spent, it could be just the thing to help you run around Northrend.
Update: Intrepid commenter Folinger found a cache of a Gamestop page for the mouse -- apparently it's also from Ideazon, and comes adorned with WoW art and 15 programmable buttons. Hopefully one of them will help me with my current goal of powerleveling fishing.

I found the Google cache page for this mouse at Gamestop.com:
http://64.233.183.104/search?q=cache:GEAdcuIVXpYJ:www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx%3Fproduct_id%3D72631+%22WorldofWarcraft+Gaming+Mouse%22&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=7&gl=us
and according to that page, it's from Ideazon.

So spec wise it seems to be similar to this product from them.

The Gamestop page states 15 programmable buttons though, instead of 5 on the mouse in my link.
Plus maybe some nice artwork on it!

How the holy hell do you fit *15* buttons on a MOUSE? :D 5 buttons sound much more reasonable, but then, almost every mouse has 5 buttons these days. Well, unless you use a Mac, that is... -____-
It simply must be a typo. Btw, regarding that "adorned with WoW art" bit, who would want a mouse that looks like a damn circus? Undoubtedly the 'art' will rub off after a while also, making for a somewhat less colorful circus mouse. :P

mine has 12.
main finger locations
L, R, center scroll click, center nudge left and right
thumb locations
foward, back
between finger and thumb
vol up, vol down, mute, email, chat
all are bound to different actions. 2 more buttons no big deal. im so used to it i really could go with about 18-20 lol

Whoah 15 programmable buttons on that mouse. I may have to check it out.

A mouse with 15 buttons? I think I'm about to have an aneurysm.
Evi Sep 19th 2008 3:27PM
That was my reaction as well. My Razer Copperhead is almost too big for my hand, I don't think I could handle 15 buttons. I can't even reach all of them on the Copperhead (comfortably, anyway). :P

How do you even fit 15 buttons onto a mouse? I have tiny pudgy nerd hands, I don't know how I'm going to deal with this.:(
p-diddy Sep 19th 2008 3:33PM
Very easy - 5 buttons and 1 modifier button like on the n53te. So 5 buttons with "blue" profile loaded + same 5 buttons with "red" profile loaded + ... etc. = "15" buttons

I don't know how you can justify spending $99 on a mouse.
peagle Sep 19th 2008 5:10PM
If you use a computer all day, spending hundreds on interface devices is easily justifiable.
Milktub Sep 19th 2008 6:20PM
That's the thing. I do. 8-6 for work, then most of my home time for research, writing papers and having fun.
But a $30 ergonomic mouse works just fine.
Dentar Sep 19th 2008 11:36PM
I went ahead and preordered this as of yet mythical mouse since there are not decent pics yet.

"6 million illumination choices"
Was I the only one who WTF'd at this part?
Verified Insanity Sep 20th 2008 12:14AM
No, you were not. There was a bit of "WTF"ing with me and on the Wowhead IRC.

Powerlevleing fishing 101:
- rise the game's sound level to where you distinctly hear the bobber bobbing
- activate windowed mode, not maximized
- activate sounds when running in the background
- make your wow window as small as possible. put it in some corner on your screen.
- Go hide somewhere in SW to fish quietly.
- shortcut "fishing" to mousewheel down
- move your camera sideways, so that even with a very small WoW window, you can see where your bobber is (at the end of the fishing line)
Start surfing the web... going back to the wow window whenever the bobber bobs. You'll miss some, about half at the beginning, 10% once you've got the hang of it. Still better than spending hours on end ... just fishin... What was blizzard thinking ?????
