Gamestop has stopped online WotLK Collector's Edition pre-orders

Until recently, Gamestop was offering pre-orders of the upcoming World of Warcraft expansion, Wrath of the Lich King, the Collector's Edition. At this point, you can still pre-order, but you'll have to drop in at one of their locations, because according to their website, they are "currently not available online."
Being Canadian, I'm an awfully sad panda right now. I could not decide if I wanted to pay the extra $20, plus customs, and have to wait an extra week at least in order to get my hands on one, and now I'm regretting not putting in the order. At least it would have been a back-up I could have canceled later!
I stopped into my local EB Games last night and was told that they do not know if, when, or how many copies they'll be getting.
Of course, if you're willing to shell out approximately $300 for a copy, Amazon has you covered. Anyone else have any leads?

the extra shipping charge was changed to a modist $4.99 after all that hoopla. so the order i had put in for two will be changed to reflect that in the next 2-3 days.

I managed to get an order in on Gamestop, but it's backordered now (I didn't get any notification from Gamestop, just checked the order status).

Amazon.ca has a thing where they'll email you when it's available through pre-order with them. I pre-ordered the regular copy, and signed up for the email. If the collector's edition comes through I'll preorder it and cancel the other.

You guys do know that these are just pre-orders from a store that loves to hype shit, right? I found the BC CE six months later at F.Y.E. for retail price.
Anyone who pays more than retail before it even comes out is an idiot. Like the idiot on E-bay who paid $30 extra to get a copy of Doom III that was leaked 3 days early but wouldn't even arrive at his house until the day it would be in stores.

That isn't at all helpful to the people who want a Collector's Edition, and to play the game at launch. Yes, there will be collector's editions out after launch, but I'm buying the game at launch, so I need somewhere I can get it from.

Two gamestop stores last night told me that I would not be able to place a reserve on the Collector's Edition despite it being available online. I got in late last night so I wasn't able to do it online either!. *doh*

I was at my GameStop today, and they said if you preorder the regular one, and it turns out they're getting more of the CE, they'll call you to upgrade. So, *fingers crossed*!
