Around Azeroth: Jump in the line
We all knew that druids often cooperate cross-faction, but hunters? This multicultural line of hunters was witnessed by Lohrr of The Venture Company on the latest PTR, after beast mastery hunters gained the 51-point-talent ability to tame exotic pets. Among the most popular pets was the core hound, and the unique skin of the Kurken in the draenei starting area lured many hunters to Azuremyst Isle. Plus, who wants to go back to Molten Core? Instead of fighting for the tame, the hunters apparently made a line and helped each other out, frost trapping and /cheering after a successful attempt. If only the queue had been that orderly back when I was attempting to get the Core Hound Tooth!
Do you have any unusual World of Warcraft images that are just collecting dust in your screenshots folder? We'd love to see it on Around Azeroth! Sharing your screenshot is as simple as e-mailing aroundazeroth@wow.com with a copy of your shot and a brief explanation of the scene. You could be featured here next!
Remember to include your player name, server and/or guild if you want it mentioned. We strongly prefer full screen shots without the UI showing -- use alt-Z to remove it. Please, no more battleground scoreboards.

It's really nice to see the community working together like that, but after how easily I tamed my Kurken in beta yesterday (no one else was even around)... I'm hoping I won't have to take a ticket, so to speak, when it goes live.
Also, I named my Corehound, The Kurken, "Clancy." Ten points to anyone who figures out that silly reference.

But... but...
There can be only one!

Not us Rogues, we'd stab each other in the back and pick each others pockets. But I digress, its nice to see it was done in a orderly fashion instead of turning into a gank-fest.

your not kidding. i remember this transaction...
i sap mob and start to kill second so i can get two energy boxes (manaforge quest).
as im starting to kill another rogue comes out of nowhere and starts looting one of the boxes.
i vanish
he takes aggro as i reappear and start to loot the box
he vanishes, i predicted this move and restealth before i get aggro.
i sap one
he saps one
we both reappear and loot a box.
no one says a word.
later that same rogue sits waiting as i take an elite mob.
i die
as i run back and respawn i see the same mob just getting killed by the other lil sneak. do i have to wait for the mob to respawn?
no, in his hasted he didnt let the mob regen fullhealth so it was still tagged by me.
i win
i have also been know to camp an ore spawn just to sap the poor sucker that finds it and loot it in their face.
a rogue's life.

"You are weak, Highlander. You will ALWAYS be weaker than I."

The same thing happened in Scarlet Hold, in the Death Knight starting zone. The quest to protect the brother in the basement would bug if too many attempted it at once, so one person started a line system that reached all the way to the front. I waited in that line for two hours, just as I was entering the basement, a GM popped in over General Chat asking "For some reason there is a body in the front of the building with the quest item that everyone needs, I wonder how that happened?!"
Needless to say all hell broke loose, and the line was done.

Thats quite funny, it just so happened it bugged out on me when I did that quest with 5 other Deathknights beside me. =\

That is some major awsome right there. I am happy to be hunter!

I feel bad for any Draenei that need that quest. There's sometimes a line to kill the Kurken on live now.

I have never played a hunter, and never wanted to until I saw Corehounds would be on the exotic pets list. Even though I am Horde, I've played through the Draenei area a couple of times. When Corehounds were announced as exotic pets, Kurken was the FIRST THING I thought of and how cool it would be.
Sad to see that it will be as commonplace as white and black lions. Oh well, I guess I can look forward to "Eyeslobber" the ghoul. (Yes, I actually liked the name!) :D

Fenn and wrez... Ten points each! :)
And as far as everyone taming Corehounds (or Devilsaurs, etc. etc.)... I tell myself this. Yeah, it'll be a big ol' fad at first. But MM seems to be getting some serious love, so that should take away from the attraction of going so deep into BM spec.
And also, it'll hopefully be like Death Knights or Draenei Shamans or Blood Elf Paladins where it's crazy at first, but eventually only the die-hards stick with it. Ya know?

Ah, this must have been taken when I wasn't there. When I "tried" to get my Kurken, there was a line alright, but there was also a hunter standing off to the side one shotting him every time anyone tried to tame him. He kept saying, "I'll just keep killing him every time a horde tries to tame lolol." (only with worse grammar) Only problem was he was killing him, no matter who was taming him. My favorite part was when the Horde brought some people to stop US from taming... to get revenge. Then the guys says, get this, "I'll keep killing him TILL I TAME HIM, then I'll leave." Yeah, I'm still stumped too.

I was in that line I think. Or a similar one. I waited 2 hours to tame that beast. Perhaps I should have just gone to Shadowmoon...

Reminds of back in the day, doing the epic hunter demon quests. Hunters would often help each other out with the demons by taking turns, kiting mobs, and cheering each other on. Good times.
