You mention Levitate, but it's more than just "A fun spell that lets us float off the ground." The slow fall effect is very handy, particularly at the later levels. It also lets you walk on water, which is nice for taking shortcuts.

One of my favorite uses of Levitate is as a self-monitor when I'm healing a group. My healing style has me paying attention to my groupmates' health bars *far* more than my own; I often don't notice when I have debuffs or take damage, because I'm so focused on the other players' health and debuffs (to see if I can Dispel or Abolish them). So I cast Levitate before a pull. Since the drop from the Levitate height to the ground changes my perspective significantly, I'll notice when I've taken damage (or when Levitate fades).
Also, it's great for when you accidentally use your ground mount and then run off the Aldor tier.
