Wow, it's as if this was written a year ago and not posted until now. This EXACT situation happened to me, except the officer that was turned against me was a long-time co-leader of the guild. What happened in the end? I stepped down. A lot of players were lost, the guild completely dissolved because I tried to save the guild instead of seeing it destroyed. The co-leader formed a new guild, and they're doing fine, but my feelings were very hurt and I don't speak with the co-leader anymore, someone who was my friend. Not because of the guild dissolving but because of how much a friend hurt me. Even though it is only a game, the people are relationships are real, don't forget that.Don't follow the advice of this article, it will only lead to hurt. Step back, look at if the GM is really that bad, or if you just don't like them. I'd be inclined to say you just don't like the GM. Are they really in the way that much? Does the guild run fine with them being in power, or does it need to be destroyed? That's what following these actions will do, destroy the guild. Trust me, I've seen it 1st hand.
