In Australia, and bummed you can't make it up to the states for BlizzCon? You too can experience it virtually -- while DirecTV has
a deal to carry it on pay-per-view in the US, Foxtel has apparently
landed the same agreement in Oz.
For $14.95 a day (no word of getting it for free by signing up, which is the deal DirecTV is offering), you can experience all the festivities straight through your television. They're even offering that BlizzCon mount if you buy both days. One problem, though: it's all being shown live, apparently, so in order to see it all, you'd have to get up at 4am. But a little lost sleep is a small price to pay for experience all that is BlizzCon, right?
Of course, you could just stick to WoW Insider and we'll
show you everything you need to see at the show for free. We don't have a mount to give you (yet), and we won't ask you to wake up at four in the morning, but we will have pretty in-depth coverage from right there on the scene. Or, y'know, you could do both. It's up to you, Aussies.

/cheer for the home side. Anyway, 30 bucks seems like a bit of a rip for a PPV. oh well.

Actually Foxtell will rerun it between 3pm-12am the same day so you wont miss a thing :)

Looks like I will be getting my updates through Wowinsider. Well I do sit on this site from 9-5 Monday to friday at work. Could explain for my lack of productivity lol. I just fear anyone that comes near my desk. ;-p

Foxtel IQ ftw (kinda like tivo).
rydolomo Sep 26th 2008 6:52AM
I'll be playing WoW at 4am anyway.
Kalerender Sep 26th 2008 3:18AM
It has a replay at 3pm in the afternoon, so you don't have to get up to start the show at 4am.
You can feed your foxtel/austar through a DVR to record it manually, not sure if mystar/foxtel iq will record it though since it's a pay per view event.

Still no Canadian love :(
Actually, I'm glad. I would buy it solely for the mount and probably end up hating myself for it.
Madal Sep 26th 2008 4:16AM
Heh , you read my mind. It is what I am thinking =/
Axolotl Sep 26th 2008 5:34AM
I'd get up early for something involving WOW, too bad we don't get the feed here.
The 13th of November, I'll even attend a midnight release (got the be a first time for everything, deathknights would be what makes it worth it, been dreaming about those before they even announced them)
