"Leading the Cavalry" achievement lowered to 50 mounts

And as you can see, the prize for having way more mounts than you'd ever need is... another mount. You can nab an Albino Netherdrake (a few commenters say it's just a drake, but that model looks like a netherdrake to me) for completing the achievement. We can say this: it'll definitely stand out in a crowd. But the green and the white together? The skin may change before launch, but maybe we don't actually need to bother getting those 50 mounts after all...

To correct you it's not a netherdrake. it's a regular drake. unless that's just a place holder... ?

Agreed. I was thinking about doing this one until I looked at the screenshot. NOT spending a few thousand gold to get a hold of that.

Yeah, it's not...albino enough. If it was a pure gleaming white, then I'd be keen on getting one. But instead it's dirty and off white, the kind of mount a hobo would ride (not really...but really).
Anybody else feel like they'll just keep their netherdrake at 80? That's what I'm thinking cause so far I haven't been impressed by most of these :\

Uhh, is it just me, or wasn't that change processed in the patch before this? Saw plenty of people floating around Shattrath on their albino drakes, and as 75 mounts was nigh-impossible pre-WotLK, well, maybe it isn't just me.

Wow...50 mounts is pretty not hard...I could have around 60 right now, based on rep. I was sort of excited about the challenge of getting those last 15.
By the way, I think the albino drake looks nice.

Lowering the number to 50 just made it even worse. Every other race can pick up their Albino Drake when 3.0 hits, while Tauren will still be grinding it at 80. It's impossible to balance it properly when there are twenty skeletal horses/raptors/hawkstriders that Tauren are denied access to.
The Only Fix: Let Tauren ride everything. And while you're at it, let Tauren Druids ride everything while in Moonkin form too.

And make gold fall from the sky, and let us all have shiny new weapons whenever we emote "/gimmee"
Or they could just make a second achievement that requires less mounts but requires that the player be Tauren. (I assume they can do that, since there are Tauren specific quests, so the game can clearly differentiate between races).

The amount of gold I still have to spend to get it, would be 2416. Now, I didn't add the rep grinds, The mounts I already have, etc. You would be spending about... 4-5k for this baby.
