As a blacksmith, I've made more enchanting rods than anything else in my arsenal of recipes. If you are an armorsmith, you would have made ONE Bulwark of Ancient Kings, and if you are a Weaponsmith, ONE "Skillherald". The only thing in my recipe that sells is the Red Belt of Battle if you were fortunate enough to get the drop from SSC. I understand Blizzard not wanting us to flood the AH with these very nice pieces of currently-BOP gear (wasnt that the point of rare and expensive material requirements?) but they may have taken this philosophy to extremes. IMO there are too many needlessly BOP specialized recipes (i.e. usable for ONE class). These items almost never get made because: a) They age real fast and once past a certain stage, you can get better gear in a raid and at less cost. b) You are not a blacksmith OR not of the class that can use it. Not to be unfairly hopping on Blacksmithing, most of the crafting professions (tailoring, Leatherworking) have needlessly specialized BOP recipes as well that you won't ever pick up e.g. BOP mail when you cant use mail.
